Queerioca

Queerioca is a space of resistance, a meeting point, and a cultural hub for the LGBTQIAPN+ community in Rio de Janeiro. Being in a central area, its accessibility facilitates gatherings of people from diverse regions of Rio and Greater Rio, making the place more diverse. What needs improvement is simply the security in the surrounding area. We know this isn't the bar's responsibility, but it's high time the bar owners in Arco do Teles considered alternatives to make the arrival and departure of customers safer. I constantly hear numerous reports of robberies there, and groups of thieves who gather to rob people leaving, especially at night and in the early morning. For us LGBTQIAPN+ women, it's very unsafe to move around the bar.
