QSpot LGBTQ Community Center

QSpot LGBTQ Community Center is Asbury Park's dedicated LGBTQ+ community center, operated by the Jersey Shore Community Center Project. Founded in 2005 as a volunteer network, the organization opened its permanent home at 1601 Asbury Avenue in 2020. It serves the Jersey Shore's queer community with youth, senior and family support groups, recovery and 12-step meetings, and its "Buddy Program" connecting older LGBTQ+ adults with volunteers. Beyond support services, QSpot anchors much of the area's cultural programming, including the QFest film festival, the QSpot Marching Band, book clubs and cancer-support groups. For visitors it is a reliable point of contact for information about local resources and events.
