Second visit here. Seems quite busy for a Thursday. Had to wait in line for the front desk a couple of times. No early check-in for Diamond members today. But overall a nice hotel. The Boathouse bar & restaurant has a lovely charcuterie and wine Flight. Service in the restaurant is amazing!!

Horrible experience room had pubic hair on toilet seat stains on walls and duvet beds have mattresses from the early millennium. I walked around in white socks after 30 minutes my socks were black. They charge an arm and a leg for old non updated rooms. Mind you we were told rooms had two queens when we arrived they were fulls. The smallest room i have ever had the misfortune of staying in that wasn't even close to being clean. They don't even offer a free cup of coffee for guests paying over $600 for three nights. Parking for " Guests" is $47.50 per night. I will NEVER CONSIDER ANOTHER DOUBLETREE AFTER THIS DUMPSTER FIRE. Also the nicest staff member was Danny in valet. Everyone at the front desk were rude and came across as very Bothered. Darn shame. 🙄🙄🙄

Building two has uneven flooring. Half the room is uphill the other half is down. It is very weird, and needs to be renovated. Literally the whole floor on floor 2 is slanted. You can feel it when you walk and sleep because my head felt like it was below my feet. Your head is below your feet. Feels like you are sleeping with your head on the bottom of the hill when you are camping.

I don’t understand why they are charging too much for parking. I never paid that much for parking while staying at the hotel.

Do not be deceived by the convenient location of this hotel. Here is what I actually experienced during my stay. The second floor smells damp and musty, giving it an unpleasant, hospital-like atmosphere. While the room itself was okay, it was not very spacious. The pool and hot tub areas were a major disappointment. Everything was wet, incredibly dirty, and completely out of towels. Instead, dirty towels were left scattered all over the gym floor, by the doors, and around the pool area. Furthermore, the pool area was chaotic. Children were screaming and throwing water everywhere while their parents just watched and laughed. It seems the hotel's cheap rates attract a crowd that does not respect public spaces or manage their children's behavior. The breakfast is very expensive, and the lobby lacks visual appeal. Additionally, there is no welcome upon arrival, and no assistance is provided for guests with luggage.

Right in the marina with great views from the park next door. The hotel is a little dated, and not every room will have a view. Parking is a little steep but it looks like people were parking across the street. The restaurant closes after lunch and opens up at around happy hour, so no late lunches. Overall a nice place.

I just want to congratulate Deeba The Regional manager for the kitchen at the Doubletree at the Berkeley Marina This is the most exotic, breathtaking hotel, hands-down in the entire Bay Area with its iconic Chocolate chip cookies for each guest that checks in - they're nice and warm and they melt in your mouth The layout is phenomenal the decor, the flooring, the carpeting the beautifully hand selected furniture, fire pits view of the ocean. Let's not forget the new selection of employees that are eager to serve that Deena hired - their young ambitious and ready to meet your needs. The presentation is phenomenal. This place is simply beautiful. I dined and had Dishes that were very delicious from appetizers to the finest wines to exotic meals prepare professionally with great presentation Friendly greeters, nice waitress there's a new manager there by the name of James He's a young guy who wanted me to have the best experience possible he made that clear to me. I remember coming to the Doubletree years ago and said that I would never return to that location ever again after being a guest for 35yrs now they had people there that just didn't care about how you felt. Great job Deepa ( General manager for the kitchen) the staff that you chose for your bar and kitchen Is phenomenal.. my home away from home. I recommend this Doubletree at the Berkeley Marina. The Service is game on whole new staff. Come check them out they won't disappoint. 5 ⭐️

It's a former hotel that was likely bought and turned into a Hilton property. The rooms are a bit dated and need some updates or repairs and the elevator is really loud if your room is anywhere near it. It has a good fitness center, great views, and pool. Decent conference rooms and an okay restaurant. But I will say that while the stay was just okay, the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

This hotel has beautiful surroundings and marina with heated pool. The 1st room was horrible mold on curtains and room smelled like cigarettes. 2nd room was little better but curtains still had mold. Refrigerator was leaking and the cabinet was moldy and black in the corner. This hotel need upgraded they still have old showers and old carpet.

I booked two rooms for a work related conference last month. I pre-paid for both rooms on the hotel’s website. Upon check-in, I was asked for a credit card for a deposit. Typical, so I gave them my personal card. Big mistake. After returning home, I noticed more charges in the same amount (plus or minus 2 cents) hit my credit card over two days. More and more kept coming in. I’ve been charged FOUR times across two credit cards. I called the hotel, spent hours on the phone going in a circle between the hotel and their corporate office. No one was able to assist me with any information regarding the charges. The Hilton representatives were not able to assist me because the confirmation number, provided by the hotel’s website upon payment and sent to me via email from the hotel, was not in their system. I’m now left disputing charges with my credit card. My colleague, who I booked the second room for, is dealing with the very same issue as well as my employer for the extra charges made to my corporate card. If you stay here, pretend like it’s 1980 and pay with a travelers check.
