My experience with Hello Lovely was horrible. My wedding was on September 28, 2024. I booked with them for bridal services about 10 months in advance. 2 months prior to the wedding date, I added on some additional services for bridesmaids and family who decided they wanted their hair done. At this point, I was “booked” and invoiced for 3 make up artist, 9 hair services and 1 make up service. The invoice included the correct number of services and artists, however there was a note in the message portion of my invoice that listed 2 less hair services. The venue address was also listed incorrectly. When I saw this, I wrote to confirm that I was booked for the correct number of services and that they had the correct address. Over the course 2 months leading up to my wedding date, I did not get a response or confirmation on the number of services I was booked for and that they had the correct address. I understood this was a busy season for them, so I tried spacing out my communications. To give you an idea, these are the dates I contacted this company, never receiving a response. A couple weeks before my wedding, after many failed attempts at getting them to confirm, I decided to reach out to their “emergency line” (the owner of the salon)—another failed attempt. I seriously felt like I was being ghosted by this vender (and like I was crazy). I started wondering if they were even going to show up. Contact attempts: - 8/14 voicemail - 8/15 voicemail & emailed - 8/21emailed - 8/28 voicemail - 9/14 emergency line contact - 9/25 emailed Finally, 3 days before my wedding, the only option I had left was to contact the artist that I was booked with (I had her number from our trial). This seemed to work—as the owner finally gave me a call. During our call (3 days before my wedding), I found out that I was NOT in fact booked for the correct services or the correct amount of artist (despite paying for these!)—I was 2 hair services and 1 make up artist short. They were able to book us for the correct services, but we still only had 2 artists show up. The artists that showed up were not friendly, at all. After the wedding, I contacted them to get a refund for the third artist that I paid for but didn’t show up. After two months of back and forth (them trying to tell me I was appropriately charged), I finally got a refund for these. I understand how busy Hello Lovely must be, but to treat a client like this is so so unacceptable. There are so many anxieties and stresses that come with wedding planning, but hair and make up should not have been one of them. That’s supposed to be the fun part. All my other vendors were so wonderful to work with. I would never recommend Hello Lovely. I have been putting off this review for some time because I didn’t want to be upset all over again, but I think other brides should be aware of my experience despite their good reviews.

Very highly recommended with many people, I’m sure it’s great. But an FYI to brides who are wanting to not waste their time, unless you have 3 people needing services they don’t book a stylist with you, and you’ll be turned away with the phone call they do.

Liz was outstanding for my big day! I cannot even begin to share how beautiful I looked! I had two different looks I was envisioning and Liz was able to perfectly capture how I was hoping to look for both nights! I also loved how kind Liz was especially as we talked about my hair and makeup. I so enjoyed every minute! Hello Lovely and Liz are simply the best!!!

My wedding day was perfect! I helped plan my friend’s wedding, while Hello Lovely/ Natalie was our makeup and hair artist. Come 2024, I used this company again and they were amazing. However, they’re EXTREAMLY hard to get ahold of once you have a contract made. Have patience, because once you finally get ahold of someone, they’re organized even with the high volume of emails and phone calls they get! They communicate via shared emails and phones, so when I was talking with one sales rep, the accounts payable could see the whole conversation! I love all the communication. I’m still recommending them to everyone because they’re on top of their shit!

Never felt prettier than on my wedding day after Liz from Hello Lovely did my hair and makeup! Even my mom and MOH commented about how beautiful they looked after getting their hair and makeup done. Another great part was that there was no minimum requirement for staff to come do our hair and makeup at our hotel. Other salons required having a certain mimimim of services provided (like getting at least 6 hair and makeup done) to travel or else it would have to be done in salon but Hello Lovely came to our hotel with only 3 people getting serviced. My one complaint is that getting in contact with staff can be difficult at times. There was a scheduling issue for my trial date and time and I was able to get it changed but then the time was changed again by staff without me approving and I wasn’t able to get a hold of anyone for several days. I understand that they’re a smaller staff and very busy but I think a text or email letting someone know that their call/email has been received and will be in contact shortly would be appreciated. Their phone message says that someone will be in contact within I believe three days but I had to wait a week at one point for a phone call about scheduling.

We booked Hello Lovely’s services to help with my wedding day! I had a great experience at my trial for make up with Sam and hair with Tamara. The artists were both very kind and receptive to my requests. I attached my inspiration photo, the hair the day of my trial, and day of wedding. Tamara and I chatted after my trial and my only request was that we add the bun more on top of my head opposed to the back of my head. When booking in December, I was told 7 services for make up and 8 services for hair was considered a large party and that Hello Lovely would need 5 hours if we hired 3 stylists, or to add an extra hour to save on travel costs with 2 artists. We choose to hire five hours with three artists (thinking 8-1p). Parties of five or more are considered large and will need 5 hours is listed on the website. During the wedding day, I was shocked when I requested my hair have more volume, only to have Tamara tell me “we should have gotten you extensions.” I had mentioned I liked the loose pieces in the back of the inspiration photo, only to have her disregard that request and keep the bottom half of my updo entirely straight (awkward after asking and it still was straight but okay). It was pretty disheartening as a bride that my hairstylist knew she had scheduled less than 3 hours to be on site, but saved the bride for last (after having trials I expected my hair to be closer to my inspiration photo). Tamara did not listen to my request the day of the wedding, feels made the excuse that I needed extensions - again, we had a trial this should have been voiced if she truly thought that). She never mentioned not staying on site with us for the five hours. I was mostly hurt that the bride was saved for last, especially when she was aware of running behind. After finishing my hair to her expectations, Tamara ask if anyone needed touch ups, but was practically packing her tools while doing so. My hair was definitely not what I had hoped for my wedding, but I did feel beautiful still as a bride. It was still a pretty updo, again just not what I had expected. I only write this to advise brides to know for certain what your day will look like, as the three artists left at three separate times. I would have approached the day much differently if I were aware of this. I did call Ashley, the owner, a couple weeks after the wedding (I am not the kind of person to call her on the wedding day or on our honeymoon. Not worth that stress). I called to make her aware of this, she listened, apologized and thanked me for the feedback. 5/5 for makeup! Not quite as happy with the hair services, but ultimately it feels I am unimpressed with lack of communication and transparency. Sam was onsite for our makeup for the five hours. Our two hairstylists were out the door before 11:30.

Hello Lovely did such a wonderful job of my hair and makeup for my Indian wedding! I’ve never felt more beautiful! They also did my mother’s makeup, which turned out lovely as well! ❤️

Only choose Tamara Lee if you don't have an opinion of what you want your hair to look like. No matter what photos you show her or tell her what you want she only does what she wants. I showed a photo of myself with a recent 'updo' and asked Tamara to replicate it and she didn't even get close. It was a very simple french twist with height on the top. She just kept saying I don't know what else to do.....LOOK at the photo, simple. It can be done. Both mom's and every bridesmaid had to 'fix' their hair after she was finished. I am sure there are other young ladies that work for Hello Lovely that do a lovely job. A wedding day is not the day to have someone not do their job.

I used Hello Lovely for my wedding updo, and Ashley did an amazing job! She and Tamara also did the hairstyles for my mom and bridal party, and everyone looked amazing. They were easy to work with, fun and kind on the day-of, and fairly priced. I highly recommend Hello Lovely!

I had the pleasure of working with Tamara Lee and Liz Miller at HelloLovelyKC for my wedding day. Let me tell you, they nailed my vision! I was very nervous about vetting make up artists for my wedding day because I like my make up a certain way and really can do it myself, however I wanted to just relax the morning of and Liz and Tamara made my bridal dreams come true. I was so relieved and happy and would recommend them to anyone getting married!

I already knew our wedding day was going to be perfect, low stress, and smooth when Liz and Madilyn showed up early to set up. I was so impressed by their skill, professionalism, and attention to detail. When getting my hair and makeup done that morning, they both referenced multiple times how they had looked back and reflected on my trial to make tweaks. That extra time and attention was appreciated and did not go unnoticed!  A testament to their skills was being able to do services on people ranging from 6 to 91 years old for our wedding. Everyone looked and felt amazing not only at the time of our service or all that day, but at our reception the next day (or in my mom's case for days to come! Madilyn worked her magic and got my mom's super straight hair to hold a curl for over 4 days!). With doing 13 services that morning, they had great time management while each service getting the special attention they deserved. We also had Liz come with us to the venue for a few on call hours. This was great to have any little thing touched up. Both Madilyn and Liz were incredible! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day! They are true artists and were lovely to work with!

We booked their services for a small wedding party, one bride, three bridesmaids. Not only were they able to accommodate us last minute within three weeks of the event due to other plans falling thru, they sent a very professional stylist! She was very accommodating as well, asking for photos of what styles we were wanting, and she was able to deliver on all of our styles! She was on time, able to bring her mobile unit to our hotel room so that we could get ready in the comfort of our own space, and she worked what we thought was quickly! Our hair stayed styled throughout the whole event and we were all impressed with the level of service! They had an online invoice and payment system that was relatively user friendly and convenient! Working with Natalie for my wedding hair and makeup was a wonderful experience overall! While the company's response time to my inquiries was a little slow, the end result was fantastic. I do wish they had a platform showcasing their artists' previous work, as it would have been helpful for inspiration and peace of mind. However, Natalie really did exceed my expectations. She listened to my feedback and made me feel beautiful throughout the whole day. And despite windy conditions on my wedding day, my hair held up flawlessly!
