What reviewers say

Many visitors praise the Hello Lovely team for their professionalism, efficiency, and ability to make clients feel beautiful and confident on their wedding day, with specific mentions of artists like Ashley and Tamara. However, a significant number of recent reviews report a severe lack of communication, with clients struggling to get responses to emails, texts, and phone calls, and some experiencing cancelled appointments.

Situated at 1300 West 13th Street, this intimate property provides a casual, homey environment where guests can feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. We regularly bring in the team at Hello Lovely for commercial hair and makeup, and they consistently exceed expectations. Our organization hosts large-scale video and television productions, which means long days, tight timelines, and a fast-moving set. Ashley and the Hello Lovely team handle it all with professionalism, efficiency, and a calm presence that makes a real difference during production. It can be difficult to find artists in the Kansas City area who truly understand the pace and standards of commercial production, but Hello Lovely absolutely gets it. They’re reliable, adaptable, and always go above and beyond to make sure our on-camera talent looks their best. We’re grateful to have them as a trusted partner on set and highly recommend them for any commercial or broadcast work.

As a wedding coordinator with The Perfect Touch KC, I have worked with Hello Lovely many times. Their team is always great to work with and I know our couples are always happy with choosing them for their wedding!

I had such an amazing experience with the HelloLovely team!! Each person: Tamara, Ashley and Natalie, did such an amazing job. My bridesmaids felt so beautiful and their makeup by Ashley and hairstyles by Tamara lasted FOREVER! Natalie did my hair and makeup and it was just perfect! I felt so pretty and still like myself, just more enhanced!!❤️ they truly made my day special!! I would recommend this team to anybody searching for professional hair and makeup services!

The absolute worst experience. Do not book under any circumstances!! All their five star reviews are from over a year ago before it went downhill and most of their staff left. The owner has given up and does not care about you or anyone. After booking we would call and send 10 emails and not hear anything back for months. She had absolutely no communication for months then would be incredibly rude and unhelpful when she would respond 4 months later. Then she removed services off our already signed contract without our knowledge or consent. We ended up cancelling the contract and going elsewhere.

I am so thankful I chose Hello Lovely for my wedding hair and makeup! I was paired with Tamara for hair and Bekah for makeup, and both of them were absolutely wonderful. The trial appointments were such a great experience — they took the time to make sure I truly loved my look and felt completely confident. On the wedding day, they worked their magic not only on me but on the entire bridal party. We had a smaller group, which made the morning so much fun and relaxed. Everyone looked and felt beautiful! One of my favorite moments was watching them do hair and light makeup for the flower girls — they gave them the full princess treatment, and it was the sweetest thing ever. Thank you, Tamara, Bekah, and the entire Hello Lovely team, for helping me feel so beautiful and radiant on my wedding day!

We loved our experience with Hello Lovely! Ashley & Tamara both did a great job with hair & makeup for all of us. As someone who didn’t have much experience with hair & makeup, I trusted their judgment they didn’t Miss! Couldn’t recommend them more.

Hello Lovely KC makes zero effort to respond to emails, texts, or phone calls and does not make any attempt to follow your requests even though the contract says otherwise. When I had a call scheduled to book them, the owner cancelled our meeting last minute. Then she offered to still talk to me that day and just take notes on her phone. She clearly forgot about the call because she never booked anything for me. I waited a while to hear from here, contacted her and waited a long time again, and she finally said she had nothing booked for me. So then there was another long waiting period for her to finally book me. This process took OVER A MONTH for her to simply book me because she takes forever to respond to anything, if at all. Mind you, I was attempting to book her 3 months before my wedding so waiting a month to get her to actually do it was insane. I told her the timeline of my wedding several times and despite those details, she booked my stylist much earlier than I expressed that I wanted without even asking if that time would work, and now she refuses to respond when I’ve asked her to move it. I have been trying to contact her for 3 weeks and there are only 3 weeks until my wedding and she’s gone completely MIA. Not to mention, she has never one single time asked for hair pictures or provided details on prepping hair, etc. They do not care at all, they’re just looking to make money. The owner needs to hire more people to run the business- waiting OVER 3 weeks to respond is ridiculous. She still hasn’t responded. I’m not even sure if she’ll have the stylist show up. While every other vendor is finalizing details and are an absolute dream to work with, I’m busy trying to find a back up for my hair in the last 20 days. Unbelievable.
