Very nice B&B great Host eveogave us a ride to the restaurant due to a very hit day above and beyond service

Breakfast is exceptional! Staff is exceptional!! Snacks are yummy!!

This was the perfect location for being a short drive from everything we wanted to see and do in Kansas City (the stadiums, the zoo, downtown, etc) and yet located in a quiet, idyllic location - removed from all of that traffic and chaos of the city. We stayed in the Scottish room, and every inch of the room was so well thought out - from biscuit tins above the fireplace to booklets about Scotland in the nightstand. And the bed! Oh it was so comfortable and the most beautiful frame! We opted to add on a massage package, which was affordable and the therapists were fantastic! Breakfast was served family style alongside the other guests at the inn, something I've not experienced at other B&Bs and it was a lovely end to our stay - striking up conversations with each other over a great meal. The only two things I would say as "cons" to the stay was not receiving a confirmation initially, which led to some confusion but they were fantastic about calling me back to get it all settled; and there is only parking enough for the guests, so if any guest decides to park poorly and it's a full house - you'll have to park off site (this really isn't a reflection of the inn, but rather people who dont know how to park between two lines.)

Update: I came back one year later, and I am very happy to tell you that nothing has changed ;-) The B&B is still very cozy, and stuff is very accommodating and forthcoming. Wonderfull & Lovely in a convenient location. The B&B is about 30 minutes from MCI airport and about 30 minutes from Kansas City. You will need a car to get there. Ubers are available. The B&B is 10 minutes away from the Truman presidential library. The house and all the rooms are very cozy. Breakfast is cooked fresh every morning (no buffet), and is very yummy. Staff is very friendly. This is the place to stay if you are around Kansas City or Independence, MO

This was a random trip. We booked last min and they bad availability for exactly what we were looking for that nearby hotels (for the same price) didn’t have. The check in was flexible. We didn’t feel rushed going in or out. The staff was very friendly, relaxed, and informative on all questions. It was better than expected. I would most definitely book again. The area was sketchy lol But nobody bothered us, we still felt as if we had our own space with our stay. The breakfast was a good home style breakfast as well. Well worth it.

I stayed here for a late valentines day “getaway”. The innkeeper was amazing and super kind, our room which was the Italian suite was absolutely stunning. Everyone else who also stayed was quiet and respectful. I will be definitely coming back here again soon! Oh and one more thing, that breakfast I had was AMAZINGG! I have no bad things to say about this place at all! DEFINITELY recommend.

We recently enjoyed a romantic “staycation” at this charming bed-and-breakfast in Independence, Missouri, and it was just what we needed! The rooms were clean and cozy, and the house itself is absolutely beautiful. I’ve always loved this kind of historic home, so I’m thrilled they turned it into such a welcoming place to stay. The staff were incredibly kind, and the home-cooked meals made us feel right at home. We even met another couple who live just down the street and love coming here for a quick getaway—it really says a lot when locals choose to keep coming back! I do have one minor critique, though. On their informational page about the local churches, they failed to mention that Joseph Smith founded The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which is actually the largest of the churches in the area. It made me question the accuracy of some of their historical details. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay, and we’d definitely consider returning!

Great get away for the weekend! The themed rooms are nicely done. The location was perfect for us, as we were attending events at Arrowhead. We will definitely be returning!

This is the cutest little Bed and Breakfast. My husband and I decided to give this place a try for our anniversary. Once you walk through the door you are transported to a whole new place. We stayed in the English Spa room for the jacuzzi tub. The bed was super comfortable. Each room is beautifully decorated and set up for guest. Fresh warm cookies were made and set out at check-in time. There is a little library room with games and movies you can take to your room and coffe and tea available all the time. They have a large backyard with lots of cute little seating areas. And breakfast was a delightfully presented meal that im told changes daily. The owner even popped in and joined all the guest for breakfast and was genuinely interested in every guest. This is such a wonderful place, the only thing you will regret is not checking them out sooner.

Lovely place to say! As we checked in, they offered us some of the BEST blueberry scones we have ever had (wish I would have gotten a picture of them)!! 😋 All the little details are wonderful. They also have a charming yard with plenty of places to sit outside and just be. The breakfast was tasty and the rooms have really fun themes!
