Preston Pride
About This Event
Preston Pride is a free one-day LGBTQ+ event in the centre of Preston, Lancashire, held every September since 2012. A short parade through the city centre leads to an afternoon on the Flag Market, with live music, tribute acts, speeches and community stalls. Lancashire Police and the fire service have taken part in previous years with vehicles painted in Pride colours. In 2025 the organisers officially barred political parties from taking part.
The 2026 edition was on Saturday 26 September. Blog Preston put the crowd in the hundreds. Before the day, the organisers had said they were worried about counter-protesters. That is well below the more than 3,000 attendees that local promotion cited for 2024. The 2027 date hadn't been announced when we checked.
