Travelodge Preston Central

The car park is ridiculous and the beds had stains all over them, the room had stains all over it and there were peoples snot all over

Rooms were lovley and clean our family room was massive ,very spacious ,ample towels . Great value for money . Lidl across the road and local takeaways all on same road . Our 8 seater though was too large for the carpark so if coming in a larger vehicle might need to find parking on the road . Free toothbrushs and toothpaste would have been a plus x

Car park a joke room i stayed in a lot better bathroom the fan stays on all night apparently like all the rooms .going to our room carpet smell bad odor would stay here again glat it just one night dump

Never staying here again. Charging extra for the car park is just greedy and disgusting. Notwithstanding that it’s an awful car park anyway with high damage risk. Lost a long term business customer.

Stayed here recently. Check in was quick. Was on fourth floor so right at the top. Stairs were not in use so had to use lift. Room was nice and clean and towels were fresh. Bed comfy. Only problem I had was extractor fan in bathroom was making a non stop noise but I just kept the door shut. No problems other than that. Had a pleasant stay

Rooms were just a bit run down. The new shower trays were dangerous. I nearly slipped over 3 times.

Decent stay while boiler was getting temporarily fixed, breakfast is good, food was good for tea, wish there was more options and staff around to order as alot of the time was waiting a while, only con was having tire shop behind who would start at super early times disturbing sleep 😅 we have a large car and found the ground floor parking easier than the top

On the day of arrival we reported that both of our soap dispensers were empty/not working, we had a very noisy vent in bathroom (over 70Db), also we had a problem with door' card as we cannt open our door (light was green and then twice red), reception said it was a bad batteries. They tried replace it (took them 3 visits to our room) and finally we were left with a lock box attached to door on sellotape!!! Next day it was a lot of wind outside and we had a lot of draft and noise coming from window and vent too, and again reception just use a lot of narrow cellotape!!! to try to stop draft. It didnt worked of course and we used heater for whole night. My kids could no sleep until 1am because of noise of draft from windows and noise from vent in bathroom too. When i seen cleaners 2 days later and asked about soap dispensers, cleaner finally fill it with soap but told us that one of dispensers is broken and they cannt fix it. So after restless cold night one of my child got a cold and cought and spent next day on paracetamol (the Easter Day!). Just a day before departure reception lady moved us to another room and apologized for all as she was shocked why did we been left ignored before. She advised us to speak to manager on Monday morning, but on that day another receptionist said that manager is unavailable as she is on holiday. What a hotel! Need a serious improvement. Previously I have messaged Traveloge about one worker' inappropriate behaviour and i was upset to see that nothing changed and this lady still works at Travelodge Preston Central. And this time (same as before) as soon as she seen me with my kids at breakfast time she came to me and loudly asked "Are you a Russian wife???". I just said "No" (because i am not Russian, never been Russian and i am a British citizen). But she still tried to say something about me. I am and my kids were shocked of that (not sure if other people seen it too.) I think this is unacceptable behaviour of staff! And i not sure WHY such person still works at Travelodge? All that facts above make me have a strong feeling to not advice to anybody to stay at Traveloge at Preston. I also met a few other people at Travelodge who had similar problems as me during that time (door keys werent working, vent noise, hot water problems, no soap). It was upsetting to see that its not a random problem, but serious lack in service. Room for a stay with a pet has a shower permanently fixed to wall, so no way person can use it to wash a pet paws :( Location is actually very good and close to Flip Out and activities, also to shopping centres. Breakfast was good too, except tomatoes and mashrooms were overcooked and mashy. Atmosphere was good, but some staff made me upset. Other staff only had a lot of empathy and tried to help, hovewer words about "all rooms have a noisy vents and thats it" didnt help much). At least I have got a refund for a 1 worst night which I appreciated, and we were moved to a better room for last night. Please, do NOT trust good reviews which mentioned staff names. One of staff (Manav) asked us to left him a 5 stars review on Tripadvisor in exchange for free "complementary" wifi for a very bad room we have got. However, he didnt offer to change the room and didnt sort our problems. Customer's reviews are not for sale or trade!!!
