We never even got to the establishment. The company never responded to my reservation inquiry and refused a refund or to let me reschedule because I was diagnosed with COVID-19 (& had proof of it.) I was punished because I didn't want to bring COVID-19 to their small, intimate establishment. Due to their negligence, I'll never book with them again. I wish I could give 0 (zero) stars.

The rooms offer a wonderful and cozy atmosphere, complemented by a seamless check-in and check-out process. The breakfast was delightful, and Tiffany's crepes were exceptional—truly the best I have ever experienced. Additionally, the location is excellent.

Wonderful stop but there are a couple things to share if you choose a from on the third floor, there's no elevator. I recognize I choose a Victorian style B&B, but at least give a guy some warning on the site. The last flight of stairs is narrow, had a curve at the top, and my wife doesn't pack light. I would have chosen the second floor just to miss the extra flight. The room was pretty nice and had the essentials, even a shower curtain for a bathroom door. Another thing to mention, as some wives don't appreciate the sound of nature in their bedroom. The breakfast was very nice and started promptly at southern time 830AM. It was worth the 15 minute wait as everything was cooked fresh in the back. Wonderful start to the day for sure. The location is walking distance to Front Street, when it is not 90 degrees outside so plan for the stifling heat/ humidity. We're from Louisiana, though we haven't lived there in 40 years, but dang it's hot down there. The front porch was very pleasant for watching the world go by, and it'll go by very steadily as Washington Street is a heavily used road all day long. Overall, nice place to visit but do go there understanding the sites limitations. It's Victorian, sleep on the second floor. Plan your restroom visits to accommodate your partners sounds of silence preference as there may not be a bathroom door. Utilize the front porch for coffee or an evening cocktail but consider your choices if you think it's a good idea to sit outside during the heat of the day. Good stay and the folks are super friendly. Hospitality is amazing in the south so experience it for yourself.

We had a lovely stay at Sweet Cane Inn! The room was beautiful—cozy, clean, and full of charm. The French toast at breakfast was absolutely amazing, definitely a highlight. We were a little bummed we didn’t get to try the crêpes, but everything else made up for it. Overall, a peaceful and welcoming experience. Would definitely recommend

Wonderful B&B! I stayed here on a work trip. My room was upgraded to the Oleander which is the luxury master suite. It was clean and the bedroom and bathroom were huge. Loved the antiques and furnishings. Gorgeous woodwork and stained glass. A towering three stories, this grand house does not disappoint. Every afternoon a really nice bottle of wine and gourmet cookies were waiting in the foyer, a very classy touch, included in the stay. Also free chocolates. Cindy and Tiffany, the Innkeeper staff, were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was amazing! Pancakes, crepes, french toast, bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, fruit, berries, OJ and fresh hot coffee are some of the fare served every morning. My linens and towels were replaced daily without having to ask. I also really enjoyed the little guest book in the room, where people wrote notes about their experiences while staying here. There are books and games in the parlour. No barking dogs or children made for a very quiet and enjoyable stay. Slept comfortably, soft bed and pillows. The owner John is such a nice guy, met him multiple times. The owners live in the house next door so if you need anything, they are very close by. Even though I was alone in the house several nights, I felt safe and like a Queen. I could imagine what it was like to live here in the late 1800's. There was an interesting letter found in the floor boards of the attic that was framed on the wall. This home is a part of the town's rich history. I will definitely return!

Great place to spend some time! Room was great and Tiffany took great care of us! We walked to the shops and river front throughout our stay. Just a heads up do your shopping on Saturday because Sunday the shops on the river front are closed.

We had a delightful stay at this lovely inn. It’s everything you hope for when on a weekend getaway. Charming, hospitable, comfortable and convenient. I can highly recommend!

This is great for walking to downtown or the river front.
