Visitors consistently praise The Bressmer for its beautiful historic architecture, well-furnished and clean accommodations, and comfortable beds. However, one guest reported a very negative experience with a same-day cancellation and difficulty finding alternative arrangements.

The place was terrific Very accommodating.
The third floor apartment was spacious and decorated beautifully. The beds were comfortable and the bed linens were luxurious. The kitchen is appointed nicely with everything you need. Our family of six was comfortable, and while the kids shouldn’t go wild the accommodations weren’t too fussy for a kids from 3-13. Family friendly local/unique restaurants are easily walkable from the location.
The Carriage House is beautiful! It's a historic building with beautiful furniture and modern conveniences. We loved it!
Cancelled my reservation same day and gave me no good alternatives, got stuck booking another place last minute and was stuck paying twice as much. They said the unit was not fit for people to stay in. Edit* To reply to your reply, we did not mutually agree to anything. You offered me a different rental for one night, then a completely different property for a second night, but the second property only had 2 bedrooms. We needed 3 bedrooms. Plus, it would have been very annoying to have to move to another property for the second night. In the hospitality industry, it is common place that if a guest books with you, and because of no fault of the guest, the facility can’t accommodate them, it is the facilities responsibility to find reasonably similar accommodations for the guest. Not offer them less bedrooms, and annoying property switch mid stay, then leave them to fight for a new place to stay tonight on their own. If you’re reading this, just book a hotel. It’s not worth it.
