The Bressmer

We came up to Springfield, IL for one night for the Lincoln Presidential Half Marathon. Wow, our stay at The Bressmer Carriage House was wonderful! Two floors with a beautiful sitting area, kitchen, bathroom on the bottom floor and then on the top was the bathroom with the shower and two spacious bedrooms. Everything was clean and well kept and we slept SO good in the comfortable beds. I loved the decor, framed art, etc., it all went with the Carriage House theme. The owner was had great communication with us, answering questions and checking in on us. Highly recommend!

This place is gorgeous 😍! The Victorian architecture and stained glass everywhere gives this place so much character. The beds were super comfortable, and rooms are HUGE. The location close to the hospital and everything else downtown made this the perfect spot to site see with a large group or family. Five stars!

Everything I expected and more

We had a great visit at The Bressmer! The room was absolutely beautiful and in a great location to all things Lincoln. I would highly recommend visiting:) You can definitely feel the history and love in the building.

A very comfortable and cozy place for winter! Perfect amount of space for family to visit. Was a quiet area too. Didn’t hear cars, traffic. Very clean and all amenities available. Staying in a historic site made this place extra special!

My family and I are already looking forward to our next stay in the historic Bressmer Carriage House! We loved the charming old fashioned decor, while also enjoying all of the modern amenities. It was great to be so close to the many historic sites we wanted to explore...and just a short drive to several wonderful restaurants! We also want to give a big shoutout to Sean, who was super helpful to us as we asked our questions and made our arrangements. Thank you, Sean!

Beautiful stay, like taking a step back in time.

A 175 year old Queen•Anne home converted into a short•term rental. It is exquisite… Once you enter this beautifully decorated mansion, you have stepped into the past (of course with modern conveniences which do not in any way take away from the eloquence of the way homes use to be built. Had out of town guests stay several nights, but did spend time with them. It is far superior to any air bnb, or snazzy hotel, including the Ritz Carlton. And to add to this magnificent destination are historic sites within walking distance!

Great place & Great experience

This was a beautiful air b and b. We had the Capital suite and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful building and the inside is clean, well furnished and the beds are very comfy.
