⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A truly enjoyable cinema that we would gladly visit again. Its location right on the waterfront is excellent, offering very good parking and easy access. The cinema itself was clean, well-maintained, and inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the visit particularly pleasant. The only minor criticism concerns ordering snacks and drinks via the vending machines. While this seems to be standard practice here, it would be nice to also have the option of ordering directly from a counter or terminal with a staff member – especially for those less familiar with the technology. Apart from that, everything was great. A lovely cinema with a pleasant atmosphere that we highly recommend.

Saw an IMAX movie last night and while the movie was great the overall experience as Ster Kinekor was terrible. As the movie starts I'm seeing double and I hear a few other people complain about also seeing that. I leave the theatre to go complain and they tell me there are new IMAX glasses that I need to buy. I tell the employee that I'm not the only person complaining that they're seeing double and he takes me to find some spare pair of the new IMAX Laser glasses to show me - he can't find them so I just go buy another pair. While I'm on my way to buy a new pair another guy comes out of the movie having the same issue, he says he bought his IMAX glasses a month ago and already they are outdated. We go to collect our glasses from the kiosk and the staff know we are there to buy the glasses for our movie that has already started but don't bother to open up another till to speed the process along (there were other people getting popcorn for a different show). Eventually get my glasses and got back to watching the movie after missing the first 10 minutes. What is ridiculous about this situation is that there were so many opportunities to tell us that we needed the newest glasses to watch the show, that this is a known issues and a spare pair of the IMAX laser glasses are kept aside for this exact purpose. There are no signs anywhere saying you need the new glasses, not on the movie poster, not in the surrounding area and not by the station you go to collect popcorn. I was there with someone else who did buy the new glasses because they didn't have any and no one told us when we were collecting that we needed these new glasses even though we were buying 1 pair and there were two of us. When our tickets were being scanned the staff member could have checked in that we had the right glasses. Even in the cinema once the trailers are all done and the "put on your 3D glasses" trailer could have been updated to say something like IMAX Laser glasses. We sat there watching trailers for 20 minutes and not once was there anything about these new glasses. I don't mind buying the glasses but its the fact that Sker Kinekor couldn't be bothered to inform the customers at any point from arriving at the cinema to the movie starting, a total of 40 minutes mind you. It would have taken some less than 5 minutes to write on a piece of paper and stick on the door to the cinema that you need the IMAX Laser glasses (once again for a known issue!!) This movie has been out for over 5 days and no one in that time has thought of any solution?? Just goes to show how much Ster Kinekor actually doesn't care about movie goers at all

Horrendous experience end to end to be honest. Poor service and a system issue with my ticket caused us to miss the first part of the film. It’s difficult to justify going to the movies after that.

The film really made the most of it… the experience was truly wonderful! The low rating stems mainly from my shock when I saw there was no sweet popcorn… I mean, why isn't there any sweet popcorn?! With three different flavors!

Their queue for the snacks&drinks took more than 40 minutes of active queuing. More than one service station closed on a weekend with sold out cinemas for Devil Wears Prada. Utterly weak planning and management.
