Alice Lodge

The best aspect of Alice Lodge is the price, as a local who was stuck in town due to flooding, with no budget really, and the location because you are able to walk into town. Alice Springs rents are criminally high. For remotely based people, having to come into town for food, medical etc is a struggle if you are not able to camp. So the price was greatly appreciated, and I and my family plan to stay at the lodge in future. That said, the inner dormitory has no window and the air becomes terribly stale. I honestly would have struggled had there been another occupant. I had to keep the door open all the time. The worse aspect seems petty however the fact that the radio was on all the time, and not only that, the setting was on what had to be the most banal station was maddening. I did not want to hear that kind of music, I could not focus with that music, or talk on the phone, and the lovely peace of the place was completely lost. And the horse-racing that went on for hours drove me nuts ie, why not give the people who are staying some form of control over station, volume, and just the choice to have the bloody thing going all the time, no? Because otherwise the place is great. Thankyou for keeping it going.

Absolutely recommendable! I'm currently stranded in Alice Springs but I found a super cheap and clean Hostel. It has a very neat yard, good kitchen machines, clean rooms, showers and toilets and I feel very safe here! I parked my car behind a very secure fence, and can leave it without any worries. My room has a fridge (very clean) and lockers to put my stuff in 👌🏻 you can reach the town centre by walk in 10min. Very kind host, absolutely underrated and exemplary accomodation!

I don’t understand the bad reviews. This place is spotless. Bathrooms kitchen, showers and rooms are really clean. Super easy 24/7 check in and super fair price. Really happy to have chosen this lodge. And it’s literally 5/10 min walking to the centre. Would go back without hesitation

This is the perfect spot for families on a budget! Safe, clean, well-supplied kitchen (glass kettle & BBQ were two especially nice features). Spacious room with your own mini fridge & actually comfortable beds. Courtyard-styled living so wherever your kids go you can easily find them. Pool was big enough to keep the kids very happy. Kids didn't want to leave, & our next stop (ayers rock campground cabin) has me missing Alice Lodge!

Best hostel we stayed at in the NT! Great atmosphere, clean facilities, easy check-in, and a fair price. Shoutout to the amazing girl running the place! Kept everything spotless and was super helpful. Free towels and a perfect location made it even better.

I could feel the strings from the mattress,very uncomfortable. It also seems none is physically working in there. Fair location.

This is a pitt. Rooms are fine for the price but this is the most disgusting hostel I've stayed at. Showers, toilets and kitchen don't seem to ever be cleaned. Everything is falling to pieces. From the noizy split system to the outdoor tables. No lights outside, disgusting and leaking BBQ, you get the picture... Extra edit after the lovely message from the owner: you need to chose your line of argument. Either this is so cheap and that's why it's a pitt, or this place is a palace and I'm lying but you can't win on both. You mentioned that we spent 4 days there so you also know we booked at your dump given that I hadn't mention that detail. If other people are OK to live in unclean places, each to their own. But cheap should not equal to dirty. And as said, I did say the rooms are OK so that's why we stayed. But I hope your response will show how much you care about your customers and as per some other comments, that is clearly not customer service that is driving you. ==> All reading this, stay away from this place...
