InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa

Intercontinental was great overall. Staff is nice and attentive. I would say it’s pretty far from downtown and you’ll probably spend $50 to get to and from but they do have shuttles - just not the most convenient times. Resort is big and they do some good entertainment at nights but not so much during the day. I would say the rooms need a slight face lift but everything was clean and had a great Tahitian feel. We stayed at an Intercontinental and Hilton over these 2 weeks and I would choose the intercontinental 10/10 times.

A well-maintained hotel with a beautiful garden. A unique experience in a stunning setting. Absolutely no complaints. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The buffet was varied and of excellent quality. The rooms were spacious with very comfortable bedding. Three activities were planned daily. We particularly appreciated Tania's kindness; she helped us learn a few words of Tahitian and even showed us how to make hats from palm leaves.

Beautiful property not far from Papeete. Hotel with two beautiful infinity pools. Breakfast is complete, a good dinner buffet, and excellent service. Recommended.

Although we only stayed one night at this resort (we were passing through after being on another island), I can't help but comment on the unpleasant musty smell and the lack of cleanliness in our room… there was even a forgotten cake in the mini-bar…

An absolute oasis. The lagoonarium pool and the overwater views are stunning, and the entire resort just has that classic, effortless Polynesian charm. Immaculate grounds, top-tier service, and the best way to kick off or wrap up a trip to the islands. Truly exceptional!

Close to the airport. About $15 for taxi. Buffet breakfast at Te Tiare is plentiful both hot & cold choices. For dinner the feature was Mahi Mahi over sauted vegetables & a dude of coconut rice. The meal was a generous portion about 8oz (2 pieces). I selected the Blue Cheese sauce instead of the vanilla sauce that it came with. The Blue cheese sauce was amazing, my husband opted for the vanilla sauce which he preferred.

This resort is drop dead gorgeous. It's Pinterest worthy. Every picture you take is straight from a magazine. The service was poor during our visit though and their buffet option was hamburgers. For such a beautiful resort we were served mediocre hamburgers among a poor selection of buffet foods that were covered in flies. The salad bar was crawling and I watched a worker cleaning up after lunch put the fly ridden food back into storage containers to be put away and used again. I didn't go to Tahiti and pay for a resort on the beach to be fed hamburgers and flies. Also. The bathroom had some mold and hair on the shower floor. Service was also pretty slow and to get to your room you may have to sit in the back of a truck to get there and arrive smelling like diesel. You will also likely here the rooms around you when anyone flushed the toilet. Five stars for looks., two stars service.

Tahiti, dream version!

Magnificent location. The overwater bungalows are an incredible experience. Everything is beautiful.
