Heritage Lodge
Visitors praise the Heritage Lodge for its unique historical atmosphere and surprisingly pleasant views, offering a tranquil escape within the city. However, many complain about the inconvenient and challenging access due to its steep location and limited car entry, making luggage transport difficult. Some also note thin walls leading to noise disturbances from neighboring rooms.

Good Chinese Style Living experience
I picked this place because I wanted a quiet area. But the fridge is noisy, I could hear kids playing outside until midnight, and on top of that the fire alarm rang at 5am for a false alert! Also the aircon can’t be turned on higher heat, so I had to keep waking up to turn it on and off. There is mold in the bathroom. And some insects in the rooms. It’s a shame because the room itself is quiet spacious.
The hotel is located at the top of a hill. There are 2 elevators which take you to the middle level, the hotel is at upper level so you have to walk up. The room is spacious and clean. The environment is quiet. If you take taxi or uber they can stop at the hotel level, so you don't need to walk. Overall it is very good.
The restaurant's food is of average quality. No parking is available unless there are special events. The only downside is the pleasant and tranquil atmosphere.
A 10 to 15 minute walk from Mei Foo station. There is also a small museum there. A value for money option.
Google Maps suggests walking from Lai Chi Kok Station or taking a rather roundabout route from Mei Foo Station, but the directions to the Rao Tsung Yi Cultural Centre from Exit B of Mei Foo Station are consistently shown, so you won't get lost. Exit B, walk a short distance, and cross the traffic light in front of the seminary. You'll see the building on your left as you cross the intersection. After crossing the traffic light, follow the signs and go up the stairs, which will lead you to the promenade. Even when the promenade ends, the building is still in sight, so it takes less than 10 minutes from Exit B. The hotel is located above the cultural center, going higher and higher. From the cultural center, it's two elevator transfers to the hotel front desk. There are many stairs, but you can hear the birds chirping. It's rare to find Hong Kong smelling of flowers. The nearest station is in a residential area where locals live. You can shop at the supermarket and eat on the hotel terrace. I definitely want to go again. Access from the airport is also direct via the A20 and other lines on Mei Foo Cheung Sha Road. The route from the airport isn't crowded, but the return trip will be fairly full.
For this price, it's excellent. If you take a taxi, remember to tell the driver to turn left past the Jao Tsung-i Museum and then turn right uphill. This way you won't have to climb stairs. The only downside is that you have to climb stairs to get up and down on weekdays.
