Hotaku HOTEL Akihabara

Spacious rooms compared to the usual size of other hotels in Japan. Good housekeeping and friendly, competent staff. The automated check-in/out system was very convenient. A wide range of amenities was available, including a vending machine, umbrellas, etc. The room decor was a bit kitschy, but hey, I'm more of a minimalist, haha. Good location, close to Akihabara Station, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby.

Very quiete and nice. Polite personnel. Rooms are small, but well, thats Japan.

Very well located hotel, good balance price-quality. Only problem is that beds are not big enough for two people. Staff is very supportive.

We were a family of 4 (kids were 10-12 yo) stayed for 3 nights, 4 days. The room we chose says can accommodate up to 5 people. We did get the room with 3 beds which is good for 4 of us. If you really have 5 people in your party, it might be hard to fit everyone with luggages. The location was more of industrial area but still working distance to a few train lines so it made it convenient. This is a pretty much self serve hotel from check in to check out which works for us as we don’t really need any hotel services during our stay. Our room was not cleaned either for the duration but we were able to get new towels from the lobby and drop used towel in their laundry basket outside the elevator on our floor. Overall, I like the room size considering the normal size of rooms in Japan. We would stay here again if we are back in Tokyo.

It's located close enough to the main road, about a 10-15 minute walk, but in an absolutely quiet area; in the evenings, it feels like there's hardly anyone around. The room is great for the price: clean shower, adjustable heating/cooling, clean shower, perfect water pressure, and the toilet is just as you'd expect in Japan. I never heard any other guests in the room, so I think it's very well insulated. The staff is super friendly; they're not always at the counter, but always reachable and helpful via phone. The elevator goes directly from outside to the floor where the rooms are located. In my case, there are simply three rooms per floor, so interactions are minimal (a plus for me).

Honestly, I was in Japan two weeks ago. The hotel was a bit hidden, but other than that, highly recommended 10/10. The rooms are super spacious and the service is excellent. Highly recommended.

Booked this for 5 days and 4 nights. We booked a spacious room so we have space to open luggages. They mentioned that they will do room service every 3 days, but the room was not cleaned during our stay. If you want room service, you have an option to request by hanging something on the door. Mostly no one in the lobby to attend to you if it is already 9pm or 10pm. But there is water for free. Overall the hotel is clean and location is peaceful.

The location is very good compared to other places.
