Updated June 2026: I stayed here again and it wasn't quite as good as the last time. The rooms were still clean and it was quiet, but our room was a bit smaller (despite having the same room type). We had requested a specific room (same one as last time) and they couldn't provide that which was alright, but they gave us an entirely different room (Japanese style beds vs Western beds in the room we had asked for) which was frustrating. The rooms were very clean and large, especially for Tokyo. There wasn't any noise from others or outside, but still close to public transit. The front desk tried to be helpful through limited English but we were able to get all of our needs across.

Our 2 night stay was comfortable. Check in/check out was straightforward. Our flight was delayed and we arrived about 3 hours late ~1230am, and we had no issues checking in via the tablet...we were in our room in less then 5 minutes. In fact, we never saw a front seat agent during our whole stay, so can't speak to their friendliness and hospitality, but again, we had all the amenities we needed in the lobby.

First off, the room condition was very good. It was clean, tidy, and just great. However, opening the door was a bit inconvenient, and there is absolutely no soundproofing. You really have to whisper to avoid being heard; if you speak in a normal voice, it can be heard immediately in the next room. It is nice that the surroundings are quiet despite being near Yokohama, but who is staying in the next room is the key factor. On my last day, I needed to sleep, but a Chinese guest was talking loudly until 3 AM, waking me up completely. I almost made a scene, but I held back as a decent person. Please keep this in mind if you are sensitive to noise.

First time visiting mainland Japan so would do things a bit differently to get here. Limo bus from Narita to Tokyo station, then using a train instead of walking all through Tokyo with our luggage. Hotaku Hotel is a lovely little place. Limited storage in the two bed room option, and very limites for beauty aminities. GREAT location, for a single person with minimal upkeep! Balcony allows good natural light and air flow into the room.
