Located in Shinjuku's Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, Kobe Beef Dining WAGYU TOK, part of the Heijouen group, offers a culinary experience focused on certified Kobe beef. The restaurant offers a menu ranging from wagyu burgers for lunch to evening tasting menus featuring premium cuts like Chateaubriand, all in a casual setting designed to showcase the raw material's characteristics. The wine and sparkling wine list is designed to match the richness of Kobe beef, including international labels like Napa Valley Zinfandel and Chardonnay selections, as well as artisanal sakes like Masumi Kuro, Japanese whiskies like Yamazaki, and traditional fruit liqueurs. However, aside from the cuts of meat, the restaurant is disappointing in other respects. I accompanied my fillet with a glass of red, which was served cold and brought to the table pre-filled from the kitchen. Furthermore, at the end of the dinner, I ordered matcha ice cream so hard I couldn't even break it with a spoon. After pointing this out to the waiter, the dessert was brought back to me visibly microwaved: a gesture that speaks for itself. Despite the staff's kindness, the place shows obvious shortcomings in its management of everything other than meat-related. In conclusion, if your sole purpose of the evening is to sample excellent Kobe beef, the place meets your expectations; however, if you're looking for a fine dining experience with attention to every detail, from service to dessert, there's still a lot of room for improvement to justify the price.

The experience at the place was incredible. The way the meat is served is charming, with a small round grill to cook it to your preferred doneness.

The meat was delicious, and the staff were very smart; they even told me which train to take and which station to get off at, since I have no sense of direction.

We arrived in Tokyo and checked into the Groove Hotel. We'd passed this place several times, but it was never particularly crowded. After three days, we decided to give it a try. The prices were certainly much higher than other places, about 20,000 yen, but it was absolutely amazing. The meat was simply out of this world, the best I've ever eaten. The presentation was top-notch, the service was top-notch. The waiter was fluent in Russian, and besides the service, he told us about Tokyo. We were very pleased with this place. I highly recommend it!
