Superbly kitted-out and very comfortable when you need to accommodate big numbers in a great location.

The Big Batch was an absolute sensation. Our family holiday stay was so so good. Facilities, location, comfort - all exceeded our expectations. Comfy beds, bright reading lights, great games room for the kids, the spa - and an amazing kitchen (we had a catered birthday lunch where the chef wanted for nothing), all made for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. Well done Kelly, you are a champ!!

Had a wonderful stay, the house had everything we could possibly need and more, we loved the outdoor area with the big table and bbq! The location was fantastic, perfect place for a weekend with a big group of friends!

The Big Bach worked brilliantly for a birthday event where local family and friends came for lunch and overseas guests could be accommodated. The location is stunning - wonderful views of Kapiti Island and the shore line from the terrace. Ample outdoor space for entertaining with lots of different sitting and lounging areas. Thankfully for great weather spotting stars in the evening was a great pastime. The play area at the back of the property was perfect for the youngest amongst the group and the table tennis/games room was brilliant teenagers and adults alike. The sauna was also well used and enjoyed by the visitors that stayed. We could not fault the Big Bach and team that looked after the property. Kelly quickly responded to queries and was extremely helpful. The property was spotlessly clean.

We hired the Big Bach for a family get together, it's sooo good! Well thought out in regards to varying guests needs, all the rooms are excellent with varied (very comfortable) bed layouts to suit, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook up a storm, large oven, loads of bench space and a cooking view to die for. The living room and deck off the kitchen share that same view and get the sun until it sets on the horizon. Spa, table tennis, air hockey, darts, kayaks, paddle board, and the beach at your door. It's not a new place either, I liked that, it's very well cared for and presented but has history and feels like a home, just one that sleeps about 20 people :-) We stayed in winter, had beautiful sunny days and a wood burner in the evening, all the rooms also have heating so winter stays are cosy as. Year round great place, we will be back!

Perfect place for business retreats or a family vacay

Absolutely delighted that I decided to splurge on this place - no regrets. The sunsets were unbelievably beautiful, the house was HUGE and so close to the sea that it felt like being on the bow of a ship. The little touches like the train set and play house for the kids, and the luxurious outdoor shower, kitchen and spa meant everyone was blissed out. A really lovely kitchen to create memorable kai to share too. Massive thanks to the owners for sharing their piece of paradise.

The Big Bach is a fantastic getaway for large groups and families. House is incredibly well appointed, clean, with modern amenities and is spacious. Loved being right on the beach - our boys enjoyed surfing, kayaking and swimming. We didn’t want to leave! Big thanks to Kelly for all her help when booking.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Big Bach. Everything was perfect for our large multigenerational family. This was a weekend to celebrate my 70th birthday as a family. Everyone came from far and wide and there were no complaints at all. Just a great time was had, in a great place with a magnificent location. Thank you

We had a wonderful trip! We are a multi-generational family of 18 and is super hard to find rooms and beds for us all when we get together once or twice a year for a celebration. We loved this property as beds were comfy, lots of bathrooms, big living areas, kitchen well equipped, perfect view, lots of different areas to hang out etc!! We will def go back at some stage. :-)

We had a wonderful stay. The beds are so comfortable and the linen is well worth paying for to make your life a bit easier. Just stunning views and fantastic kitchen/lounge layout. Amenities are also awesome. Fantastic location with only a ten minute walk to the shops. Highly recommend.
