ICK, su Ramkhamhaeng Road, è un disco-pub in stile thailandese che si anima davvero tardi. Aspettatevi una folla di studenti e residenti locali, rendendolo un posto informale e amichevole per chiunque nella comunità LGBTQ+. La scena gay di Bangkok spazia da eleganti cocktail lounge a locali di quartiere. Questo rientra decisamente in quest'ultima categoria. Non venite qui per un'esperienza turistica curata; venite per una vera fetta di vita locale. Troverete persone che ballano, bevono e chiacchierano: è una serata "scegli la tua avventura", sia che vogliate solo una birra o muovervi a ritmo di musica. Poiché si trova in una zona residenziale di Bangkok, non in un centro turistico, ICK sembra un vero locale. Probabilmente incontrerete più residenti di Bangkok che altri viaggiatori, il che è un ottimo modo per immergersi nella comunità queer della città. Rimane aperto fino a tardi, quindi è perfetto se siete fuori ad esplorare dopo il tramonto e preferite posti che non iniziano nemmeno a riempirsi prima di cena inoltrata.

I woke up late today and missed my hotels buffet breakfast hours. I searched on maps and this all-day breakfast place, Nick, was around the corner so I thought I’d give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised and glad I took the chance. First of all the atmosphere, seating, and welcoming of the place immediately gives a comforting feeling and got rid of the guilt for not waking up early. I ordered the French Breakfast, and asked for eggs scrambled. I can’t even begin to explain how good the food was, everything was perfection. I also had a Cappuccino and they let you choose the roast of the coffee beans, I liked the dark roast for my drink. To wrap it up, probably the best breakfast I’ve had in my 2 weeks Thailand trip.
