Meritel Hanoi

We had a recent Fantastic Stay at Meritel Hotel..Thanks to the lovely staff. A special mention to Tim at reception who went out of his way to support us when we visited our train! The service was excellent. The rooms were neat and clean. The beds were comfortable. The hotel is very well located and close to everything. Good value for money. Thanks Tim for making our stay even better! 😊

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Meritel Hanoi. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained — perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. One of the highlights was the availability of vegetarian options, which made dining much easier and enjoyable. The hotel’s location is unbeatable: right in the heart of Hanoi, just a short walk from the iconic Hoan Kiem Lake. It’s also conveniently close to several Indian restaurants, which was a big plus for me. Overall, Hotel Meritel offers a great combination of warm hospitality, good food choices, and prime location. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi, especially if you’re looking for comfort and easy access to the city’s main attractions.

I wish I could give a higher rating than 5 stars! The rooms were spacious, clean, and sound insulated from the busy streets. The location was central for us between Old Quarter and others locations we had in our itinerary. The true highlight of our stay was the service team. We were always greeted by the front desk and the doormen were incredibly helpful with getting our luggage, even when we were dropped off on the opposite side of the road after leaving a Grab or tour shuttle car. But the star for us was Linh from the reception desk! Linh checked us in when we first arrived, and introduced himself as our main point of contact during our entire stay. He shared his WhatsApp contact with us so we can reach out to him at any time. He was prompt to reply (even during his day off) and always tried to accommodate our requests. He made our stay truly personalized and comfortable. I am sure the other concierge are excellent as well, but if you stay at Meritel Hanoi and are fortunate enough to have Linh, you will be in good hands.

Stayed from June 1st to June 3rd. Thank you for kindly assisting us at every moment, allowing us to create wonderful memories during our first-ever overseas trip to Hanoi. Thank you for booking us a great room that matched my prior email requests. Thanks to you, my friend and I were able to comfortably and happily build beautiful memories together. Since it was my first overseas trip, I had many worries before leaving, but it turned out to be an even happier journey than I had imagined. If I ever come back to Hanoi, I would love to stay at Meritel again. I hope that as we live each day to the fullest, we can visit Meritel Hanoi again someday and meet again. 🫡🙏🏻🤍 Thank you. The location is in a lively old town area, very close to Train Street and Hoan Kiem Lake. I highly recommend taking a Grab taxi! Although the hotel is close to everywhere, the weather gets so hot you won't want to walk at all 😅 Grab here is very cheap! The receptionist who greeted us was Ryan, and his service was excellent! If you have WhatsApp or WeChat, you can add him on WeChat to ask him any questions. We asked him for many restaurant recommendations and really liked his service 🥰 The room was pretty good, and luckily we were assigned a high floor, so we didn't experience the noise from the street that some people mentioned. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was good, and the bathroom had plenty of hot and cold water. The room was very clean overall. The mini-fridge and snacks on the table were chargeable; I recommend buying them at the convenience store next door. There are many local convenience stores near the hotel, so it's quite convenient. Our room type included breakfast. The selection was decent, but we only ate breakfast two days out of five, so we ate out the rest of the time. The hotel also offers airport shuttle service, both to and from the airport. We had pre-booked it. Ryan was very kind when we checked in, asking about our flight times and offering to book a shuttle to the airport after our trip. However, we were worried about traffic, so we asked him to arrange an earlier one 😂 Overall, we really liked it. We would definitely stay here again if we come to Hanoi again.

Amazing place to stay in the heart of the Old Quarter. Beautiful buffet breakfast each day. And very pleasant staff. Definitely recommend staying here.

As someone who travels this world and stayed in numerous hotels, that have been different star rated, I have just left here after a few nights stay while visiting Hanoi Without any hesitation this hotel is very much worth your consideration when choosing a hotel to stay in if you're visiting Hanoi.. I have stayed in a few hotels in previous years when visiting the city, and i only chose this hotel because one of my other choices was full at my time of visiting.. So, fate played its part in me booking to stay here.. The staff are genuinely very welcoming and they are very professional in their approach to customer service.. I have to mention two staff in person, Hanh who is a porter who truly has a spring of happiness in his step.. And Katy...who was part of the front of house team.. Two young people who are a credit to the owners of this hotel.. But everyone are just so helpful.. The bar on rooftop has barmen that truly know their drinks.. My whisky sour was great... My wife's Margaritas and Dirty Martini's were spot on she said... The rooftop pool isn't large but definitely adequate for a swim.. Only around half a dozen lounge beds and say 6 chairs for customers to use.. But not everyone has time for a swim do they.. As for the rooms.. We had a nice room with no windows looking anywhere, which wasn't an issue for us.. Bed was large and definitely very comfortable.. Ensuite was again a good size with a walk in shower. Just set your alarm otherwise you may think it's still dark outside and infact it's 9am or later if you have one of these particular rooms... So if you need a room with a window, be sure to check availability for such a room.. Breakfast here is definitely more than adequate for hotel guests.. So.much on offer and that includes certain coffee beverages that usually incur a surcharge at other Hanoi hotels.. A very good location for getting around the old town area and beyond... I have personally now found my go to hotel when I'm back in Hanoi ... Thank you to all the staff Update.. ********* My wife and I have stsyed here again on our most recent visit too hanoi.. And without any hesitation, our stay was again such a pleasure A truly faultless experience.. The staff truly can't do enough for you the visitor staying in their hotel... From thst very first moment that you arrive at the front of the hotel, until the time you have too depart, the staff make you feel not just welcomed, but that youre somehow entering a 'family' environment.. This hotel genuinely is a wonderful place too stay..

Our 3-night stay from 1–4 June was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, every aspect of the experience exceeded expectations. The port location was stunning, offering beautiful views and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. The accommodation was immaculate, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed, with everything we needed for a perfect getaway. The staff were outstanding—warm, professional, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. We especially loved waking up to the waterfront scenery each morning and enjoying the peaceful surroundings in the evenings. The facilities were first-class, well maintained, and contributed to an effortless and enjoyable experience. This was easily one of the best stays we have had in recent years. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our return visit. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in a beautiful port setting. Five stars in every respect.
