Secret Walls

No elevator. Narrow stair case. room on the 4th floor. Dustbin is full of garbage when we arrived. Toilet is outside the room. Very bad experience.

- Insufficient heating in the room and no heating in the shower. I had to sleep with my clothes on as the temperature outside was -2C°/+2C°. - Shower has no door, nor any specific barrier and the showerfloor has not sufficient slope to avoid that water flows into the room without putting my towel as a barrier. - Shower head was not clean - Shower water evactuation full of hair - Pillows are low cost - No real desk to work. There is a small piece of wood where you can put your labtop but without electrical plugs to charge. - The picture on internet look nice. The reality is that the room is not comfortable nor equipped for business travellers nor for tourists that enjoy reading.

A delightful stay in a warm and inviting space. The decor and the hosts were incredibly friendly. Access via code is very easy and intuitive. Conveniently located with the metro right next door. Close to the city center and the magnificent theater. Excellent location. Little touches made our stay truly wonderful. 100% recommended.

Great hotel! The photos are true to life

I am disappointed with my experience at Secret Walls and will not be returning to this establishment. Before posting this review, I contacted the owners, but received no response. That is why I am writing this review. While it was only 22 degrees Celsius outside, the air inside my room was stifling; it was far too hot to sleep. (No, the heating wasn't on!) I asked how the air conditioning worked and was told, "with the remote control." Except the remote control operated... a fan! So I sent another message, explaining that it wasn't air conditioning, but a fan. That's when I was told, "Sorry, there is no air conditioning." What a nasty surprise! I had difficulty sleeping. The owners offered absolutely no help in finding a solution. For example, they could have told me to make sure I closed the upstairs windows properly to keep the heat out. I was simply ignored. For the price of the room, I expected better! In short, be aware that there is no air conditioning at Secret Walls and that it's not the owners' problem. (Also, the pillows are enormous. Not for those with small shoulders.)

A small property with four rooms, less than a 15-minute walk from Brussels' historic center. The immediate vicinity isn't exactly ideal, but we never had any problems in our four days there. The room we were assigned was number 4, on the top floor, and it was truly beautiful and spacious, with a sink and shower, as well as a small kitchenette (fridge, sink, and a few dishes, but no stove). The toilet is outside the room, in the door directly across the way, but since there's only one room per floor, and mine was on the top floor, I never had any problems. Unfortunately, there's no reliable luggage storage service; the only option is to leave your luggage in a space created in the wall on the first floor where you can secure it with chains and small locks. However, since everything is still exposed, I preferred not to leave it there (someone did). Overall, I think it's a great option for a stay in Brussels and I recommend it.

Very pleasant stay. Clean and tastefully decorated room. Excellent bedding. The best part: a private, separate toilet. I recommend it.
