Positiiviset ry, also called HivFinland, is the Finnish association for people living with HIV. Its office is at Malminkatu 24 C in Kamppi. It runs peer support and counselling on weekdays from 10:00 to 16:00, and on the last Wednesday of each month it offers free, anonymous HIV rapid tests from 16:00 to 18:00, with no appointment needed.
For a visitor, that monthly drop-in test is the main reason to know about it. The city's own HIV service centre, on Palkkatilankatu in Pasila, is an alternative for testing on other days. Check positiiviset.fi before going, because testing dates sometimes move around holidays.
