Sauna Carré Rouge

Why all the grumbling? I have a great time there. Everyone is friendly and respectful. And everything works perfectly... hammam, sauna, jacuzzi. Moreover, a model of inclusion to follow: a person in a wheelchair was there. Many businesses could take note. Plus, the young man at reception is very sweet.

A very pleasant welcome from this charming young man who is very competent and independent in his very versatile work... I sincerely hope that his boss and the clients are aware of this....

If you were planning to relax in the hammam right now (mid-December), you'll have to wait a long time! When you're in the vestibule next to the window (the glass's been broken for six months), you'll find yet another sign: "Hammam out of order, door hinges are broken." Yes, of course, the door has been showing signs of weakness for months. Equipment needs maintenance, Mr. Manager. So yes, there's still the sauna (hourglass missing) where everyone crowds together, the jacuzzi (water analysis available? displayed?) And the list goes on! The door lock (for enemas) The missing tiles here and there, the light switches in the cubicles covered with tape—risk of electric shocks? There's a real danger! The mattresses are worn down to the fabric! Real breeding grounds for germs! Don't forget to lift those mattresses for cleaning; you might find some surprises. And the ceilings are peeling everywhere! We talk about it. But the man is overwhelmed, overwhelmed with answering questions. Comments toast... We've known Le Carré since it opened, and frankly, it's become less and less welcoming. How can someone let their establishment deteriorate like this! It makes you wonder if he's even the owner! We'd like to see it closed, for renovations of course. Or hand it over. This guy's definitely not cut out for it. We'll post other reviews on other platforms. AND NO, I'M NOT GOING TO DELETE MY REVIEW! RENOVATIONS ARE PLANNED, LOL. We've been hearing that for ages!!

I highly recommend this place because it's very clean. The owner is very friendly, respectful, and kind. The establishment is beautiful, hygiene is impeccable, and the prices are very reasonable. I find what I'm looking for here. Go without hesitation; it's a great place to meet people and enjoy a friendly atmosphere. The manager is a very pleasant, honest, and helpful person. All the staff are lovely. I recommend once again that you go and discover this magnificent sauna. I am satisfied with their operation, professionalism, and services. When I discovered this place, I found it clean, and I feel very comfortable there. Don't hesitate to go; you won't regret it—on the contrary, you'll have a wonderful time and a great experience. I am pleased to leave my review. I highly recommend this establishment.

My experience at Carré Rouge was generally disappointing. The place is only moderately clean: towels are lying around everywhere, and there are even washing machines and dryers near the bar, which completely ruins the atmosphere. The establishment is also very dark, with very little lighting. As a result, I walked right into a wall I didn't see coming due to poor visibility. Regarding the reception: I was personally welcomed, but my colleague was subjected to a haughty attitude at one point, which is unprofessional. Regarding respect, behavior, and confidentiality: I would like to remind you that, as indicated on your signs, consent is mandatory. Yes means yes. No means no. Yet, I was persistently groped by a person of about 60 years old, despite my clear refusal. I understand that this age group represents a large portion of your clientele, but that in no way excuses the lack of respect. And despite my complaint, I felt the situation wasn't truly addressed. On top of that, there's unacceptable behavior: Criticizing the competition is one thing. But inappropriate insults, mocking people's privacy, insulting those who are no longer with us, and disclosing personal information to your clients far exceed the bounds of respect and professionalism. There's a saying: "Sweep in front of your own door before you sweep in someone else's." And honestly, with all this, I think it's also the reason why you have virtually no young people among your clientele. The lack of respect, the aging atmosphere, the failure to address problems, and certain inappropriate attitudes ultimately discourage younger generations. Relaxation area: * Hammam: clean and warm * Sauna: also adequate * Jacuzzi: small and far too cold You'll probably respond to this review, but I want to emphasize that all these criticisms are genuine, and I've already spoken to you about them directly. Personally, I will never return.

Very pleasant sauna and top-notch staff!

I've been going to Carré Rouge for a while now, and just yesterday afternoon. I love this place, and for me, it's the best sauna in Rennes. And I'm always very well received, with a great atmosphere.

Avoid at all costs!!! We had planned to go to this sauna on Sunday, December 21st, despite some reservations. For us, coming from Saint-Malo, it's the best located sauna geographically. We had already been there 15 days earlier but noticed that the establishment is very old and in a state of disrepair. Paint was peeling from the ceiling, the hammam door was broken, the mattresses in the lounges were extremely worn, and there was almost no light in the jacuzzi, which was very dim, surely to mask questionable hygiene. Since a friend wanted to go, we agreed, despite our reservations. Upon arrival, we waited patiently in front of the entrance, which finally opened 15 minutes later than indicated on the website. When it came time to pay, we made the mistake of asking the "manager" if the hammam had been repaired... and he told us no, that the hinges would arrive in a week!!! And consequently, if we weren't satisfied, we could go elsewhere! He also told us that many saunas didn't inform their customers when there were problems… and when we had the misfortune to suggest he could use a more pleasant tone when speaking to his customers, he replied that it was "normal" behavior. This gentleman is truly extremely self-important and doesn't seem to make any effort to be pleasant. Faced with this unbearable attitude, we chose to go to another sauna in Rennes, along with about ten other people who were waiting outside this poor establishment, which has lost its former glory and is inexorably sinking into the abyss, both structurally and in terms of customer service, if one can even still call it "customer service." If we could offer this gentleman any advice, it would be to change careers and leave all commercial relationships behind. When you've lost yourself so completely in what you're doing, it's more than time to do something else. Another piece of advice for those of you looking for a place to have fun: quickly forget about the Red Square and choose other venues that will welcome you with dignity and respect. The Red Square is practically becoming the Black Square... Amen!

In a place like this, it's good to note the atmosphere. And for me, it was great! Clean and well-organized. The only slight drawback, which doesn't lower my rating, is that the mattress-like upholstery could be improved, but I'm just nitpicking 😀
