Hotel Ellington

A wonderful hotel with a special historical flair. Superb service and excellent cuisine. Beautiful, quiet rooms in the heart of Berlin. A top-notch address 👍👍👍. Highly recommended. It's such a shame that the hotel is expected to close in mid-August 2021. This marks the end of a wonderful Berlin tradition... 😔

One star for the great location One star for its cleanness One star for its staff. Dropping a star because the shower was literally facing the window and buildings across the street. Extremely uncomfortable bathroom in general. The toilet was separate, the sink was in the middle of the room. The curtain was annoying too. Closing it was a challenge. It consists of 4 narrow curtains, which you had to somehow overlap them to fill in the gap. Dropping another star for not having a room service for food and drink!!!!

We come here regularly for jazz concerts and a drink at the bar. It's always atmospheric and pleasant. Today we had a barbecue in the courtyard—a great, feel-good atmosphere, delicious food, attentive, friendly staff, and all this right in the heart of City West. We'll definitely be back. We were there again for a jazz concert in the Femina Hall. The seating was well-spaced, and there was air conditioning—though singing along wasn't allowed. Unfortunately, even the reduced seating wasn't all occupied. People, go to concerts again, including here!! The bar is open again, and you could reserve a table. June 22, 2021 Oh dear, oh dear—we learned at today's concert in the summer garden that the Ellington is closing in mid-August. A private investor has devoured the hotel. Such a shame. Hopefully, Jazz Radio will find a new location.

Unfortunately, the Ellington will be closing on August 16, 2021. All the best to all the staff and the hotel manager, and thank you for (unfortunately only) 14 years of Berlin hotel history.

I'd like to review my stay, but unfortunately, my booking was canceled by the hotel. I've never experienced anything like this before. I would have been there for the Berlin Marathon, but apparently, now that the marathon is taking place, they're offering better rates than the one I reserved for... pretty dubious, in my opinion.

A wonderful stay at the Ellington, consistently excellent service for years, and a team that truly stood behind the hotel. Well, sadly, stood behind it, because as reported in the press, that's the end of the Ellington. Our last girls' getaway; the hotel is closing, and it's simply incomprehensible. All the best to you, dear Tina; you and your team made the hotel what it is. Thank you for many wonderful moments, fantastic events, and a feeling of home at the Ellington. All the best to the entire team.

One star deduction solely because of today's news on the RBB evening news that you're closing the hotel. How sad, I've had wonderful seminars with you and always appreciated your friendliness and central location. Love you all.
