Schiffspatenschaft wiederbeleben - AfD-Antrag verhindern

Am 02.09. um 16:30 Uhr veranstalten wir eine kurze Kundgebung vor dem Rathaus, um die Verantwortung der Stadt für die finanzielle Unterstützung von Seenotrettung öffentlich zu bekunden.
Nach Verlegung wird nun endlich am 02.09. im Stadtrat über unsere Petition für die Übernahme einer Schiffspatenschaft von Mission Lifeline e.V. abgestimmt. Diese Abstimmung entscheidet, ob die Stadt Leipzig unseren Forderungen nach einer Schiffspatenschaft nachgeht oder nicht. Zu dieser hat sie sich symbolisch bereits im Zuge des Eintritts in das Bündnis „Sicherer Hafen“ bekannt, bisher aber keine weiteren Schritte übernommen. Zudem fordert die (fck)AfD mal wieder einen Austritt Leipzigs aus dem Sicheren Hafen-Bündnis, dem wir uns widersetzen müssen.
Da die Stadtratssitzung öffentlich ist, wollen wir gern nach der Kundgebung teilnehmen und mit unserer Präsenz ein Zeichen setzen. Je mehr Menschen, desto besser, weshalb wir um Unterstützung bitten- kommt gerne vorbei damit wir die Tribüne möglichst voll bekommen und gemeinsam Haltung zeigen können!

On September 2 at 4:30 p.m., we will hold a brief rally in front of City Hall to publicly call on the city to take responsibility for financially supporting maritime rescue operations.
Following a postponement, the City Council will finally vote on September 2 on our petition to sponsor a ship operated by Mission Lifeline e.V. This vote will determine whether the city of Leipzig will act on our demands for a ship sponsorship or not. The city has already symbolically committed to this by joining the “Safe Harbor” alliance, but has not taken any further steps so far. In addition, the (fck)AfD is once again calling for Leipzig to withdraw from the Safe Harbor alliance, which we must oppose.
Since the City Council meeting is open to the public, we’d like to attend after the rally and make a statement with our presence. The more people, the better—which is why we’re asking for your support. Please come by so we can fill the gallery as much as possible and stand together!
