I was a regular at the Dorett for about 12 years. Then the management changed, and on my first time partying at the "new Dorett," I was suddenly kicked out of the club WITHOUT any explanation – on New Year's Eve. I was there with three friends and ruined the start of the New Year. Absolutely terrible. To the new manager, who apparently just didn't like me and who is responsible for my expulsion: really bad behavior. That's not how you treat people. I've never experienced anything like that in 25 years.

I love it there. Dorett is so sweet.

Impossible staff. We were there on Women's Carnival Day. I was wearing a Vietnamese hat. The waitress claimed it was cultural appropriation, even though she was neither Asian nor had any connection to the culture. She said she would know that these hats are sold to tourists on every corner in Vietnam and are meant to provide rain and sun protection. The fact that people were walking around with Afro wigs and Native American costumes wasn't a problem. I explained to the waitress that I had traveled in the country for 25 days and, on the contrary, that it was a sign of my respect. The employee wouldn't hear of it. Perhaps it would do her some good to travel more to broaden her horizons. Unfortunately, the doorman followed the waitress's line of reasoning instead of putting a stop to such nonsense. I was told to take off the hat or I would have to leave. So I gladly left. It's a shame that they drive away regular customers like that.
