As an American traveler visiting Budapest, I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Mystery Hotel Budapest. Unfortunately, I sprained my ankle on the very first day of my trip, which was a huge disappointment. However, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I could still enjoy my time in the city. They kindly brought ice to my room every evening and even took the time to call local medical supply stores on my behalf. Thanks to their help, I was able to find both an ankle wrap and a walking boot, which allowed me to continue sightseeing and experience Budapest as I had originally planned. The level of care, generosity, and compassion shown by the staff truly exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend staying here

I was at the hotel last week, the overall picture basically met my needs, but the reason I'm giving it 5 stars is not because of the hotel itself, but because of one of the staff members, because Roxi was very kind, direct, resourceful and helpful. She helped me with a lot of things during my stay there. Appreciate her!

Felt very safe as a solo traveler. The staff were so attentive and kind throughout my stay. The location is great too, but can we talk about the food??? I enjoyed it so much! My favorites were the salmon, pasta, and steak. The Secret Garden Spa was the cherry on top. And the chocolates they leave after every room clean up? Love it. I love, love, love this hotel and would absolutely recommend it!

A full 5 stars – Stay 05/2026 Room: We had the Duplex King Room and were absolutely delighted. The room was very well-maintained and impeccably cared for. The maid came every day – everything was always clean, tidy, and in good order. Fresh water was provided daily. There was also a Tchibo coffee machine in the room, a very comfortable bed, and a fantastic rain shower. Everything was high-quality and spotlessly clean. The room also had a safe and a large mirror – truly lovely! Service: We have absolutely nothing to complain about regarding the hotel staff – we were completely satisfied. Whether at reception, at breakfast, or in the spa area: the staff were always friendly, attentive, and helpful. The breakfast was also very extensive – it truly had everything you could wish for. The spa area is free for hotel guests. Important to know: Bath slippers are required there – but these are conveniently provided by the hotel in the room. The hotel also has its own rooftop bar. For the special ambiance, you naturally pay a bit more, which I find absolutely justified at this hotel. A Whisky Sour cost around €15, an Angus steak around €40. We ate there and can only say: the food was excellent – ​​as was the service. Location: For those arriving by car, I have a tip: the large "Westend" shopping center is nearby. There's an outdoor parking lot there – as of May 2026, it costs around €80 for a week. Otherwise, the hotel is perfectly located. You can get into the city quickly. We mostly used taxis and employed three apps that I can highly recommend – whether for booking taxis, ordering food, or organizing day tickets. At check-in, a deposit was blocked on our credit card, which was, of course, released after check-out. Conclusion: All in all, a fantastic hotel – a full 5 stars from me. We would definitely come back!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as an anniversary trip. Our first time in Budapest and Mystery Hotel made it a rememberable trip. From check in everything was great. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. They gifted us a bottle of wine as a welcome gift for our anniversary. The hotel also brings chocolates every afternoon with a card that has local recommendations of places to see! I have never been to hotel that does that. Incredible! We booked massages at the spa in the hotel and then a dinner and cruise for the evening. The massages were perfect. Very relaxing and comfortable. My husband and I did a 90 minute couples massage and the masseuses we had were very friendly and did great work. The sauna and jacuzzi were lovely and the whole spa area is beautiful and relaxing. The breakfast has a wonderful variety and is huge. Perfect for a nice meal before going to see Budapest. The rooftop bar is cute as well. Good amount of seating and many drink options. We didn’t order food but from what we saw that was being brought out it all looked good. Overall, one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Location was great to. Just down the street from the train station and many tourist attractions. Everyone in the hotel was nice and the hotel had a beautiful unique look to it. We would stay here again if we return to Budapest. Thank you Mystery Hotel for a great stay!
