Galway City Hostel

The location is perfect. It's right in the city center and close to public transport. It's a small hostel, but the rooms are quite spacious. Depending on where your room is located, it might be a little noisy from the street, but nothing that earplugs can't fix (essential for any hostel). It's quite social, and the staff is very friendly. They offer female-only dorms, which is a plus, although the bathrooms are shared and don't have electrical outlets. I would definitely return.

Perfect location, good breakfast and extremely kind, welcoming and wonderful staff. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. I stated in all female room and I felt very safe.

I've been staying at this hostel for two months with my brother. It's our first time living in a hostel, and thanks to Jasmine, we're having a fantastic experience. She helps us with everything and goes out of her way for us whenever we have a problem. The hostel and the staff are all top-notch! 👌

Cannot say enough good things about this place! Staff was incredibly kind and engaging—offering lots of insight about where to go and what to do in the area. They’re also great about facilitating connection amongst travelers. Location is unmatched…literally on the corner of Eyre Square with easy pedestrian access to Quay Street, the Latin Quarter, the Claddagh and coastal walk, and more. Also easy pedestrian access to the basics, like grocery, pharmacy, and ATM (and some of Galway City’s best coffee shops!). Hostel itself is clean and well kept, free breakfast is hearty and delightful, and the common area is super cozy and inviting. Linens and fresh towels are included in your room rate, and they have nice little extras available, like hair dryers/curlers and basic toiletries. Highly recommend, and myself look forward to returning!

This is one of the best hostels I've stayed at. Free breakfasts are AMAZING, fresh bread is made every day, and there's free coffee, chai, hot chocolate, and tea. Tom did a great job introducing us to other guests and bringing a group together for a pub crawl. He created a sense of community so that people felt comfortable talking to each other in the common space. He made sure everyone felt safe and was very attentive to potential issues. Thanks Tom!! The rooms and bathrooms were clean and had everything you'd need. The location is great, being only a 2 min walk from the train and bus station. I would highly recommend staying here!

Could not reccomend this hostel enough for a solo traveller! The rooms were neat and clean. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. The staff were absolutely amazing, especially Jasmine and Tom. They were super knowledgeable about Galway and made sure that everyone felt at home. The vibes were immaculate and I met so many wonderful people. They even made sure that I had a gluten-free option for breakfast. 10/10

This was the perfect place to stay for my first time in Galway! It’s incredibly central & located right across from the bus station, making it easy to explore the city. Jasmin was wonderful & made me feel at home right away, and also had very helpful recommendations. Rooms, kitchen, and bathrooms were very clean and the social vibe made it easy to make friends as a solo traveler.
