My wife and I visited here for the 1st time this Feb and were pleasantly surprised. There was a sign on the door saying no single men, being a Saturday night this helped put my wife at ease. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They provide you with a locker and tab which you can put an amount on or just keep open, this worked great. Upstairs comprises of 2 areas the bar and a second room for fun. Downstairs, no drinks allowed, is where all of the real fun happens. There are several beds, a swing, an aquarium - a locked room in which others can see in. A GH and a dark room. Overall we had a great night. It filled really quickly with couples of all ages from 20 upwards. We would go back if we return to Amsterdam.

Attended for first time in October and had a great time with my husband. Returned in December and whilst we still had a great time it was off putting that a particular single man (long ginger hair and beard) was allowed in when other single men were being turned away! Not sure if he knows the owner or not but he came across quite creepy! He was lurking around, hiding in corners watching couples doing their own thing. He even at one point started playing with himself which was very off putting! When no one seemed to entertain him he left. He has been there every night that we went. So appears to be a regular!! Dont let this put you off though, as the atmosphere is very relaxed and everyone else there was very respectful and nice. The bar man and the bouncer are very nice. If your looking for fun its a great place to visit for some fun! We will return for another visit soon.

While visiting Amsterdam my partner and I decided to check out Sameplace. We had an absolute blast, swiftly! While speaking to 4 other people, we learned that it was all of our birthdays, and well, we all welcomed our big day together! The bartender was comical, and very social, and friendly. We definitely recommend this place. Not having others interested in you does not mean that you should leave a bad review.

My husband and I visited Amsterdam this weekend and we decided to visit this bar 2 nights ago. Firstly this club is very secure, you cannot just walk in off the street, there is a camera doorbell that is manned and the door locked. Upon entry you must leave your jacket in the cloakroom and are given a locker key in which you must put all personal belongings, including mobile phones. You are allowed outside to smoke on the hour every hour to ensure the continuity of the locked door policy. The staff are welcoming, reassuring, friendly and are happy to answer any questions. They make you feel at ease relaxed, interact with you if you wish or leave you alone if you prefer. We were explained the layout, facilities, rules and monetary requirements. The facilities are really good considering it is quite a small venue, the downstairs dungeon has a few fun aspects such as a glory hole cabin, a viewing room, a swing, stirrup chair etc. Upstairs was a more social area with large beds that have sheer curtains to pull across if wanting a bit more seclusion. There are poles to dance on and the bar is well stocked. Towels are provided and cleanliness is promoted everywhere. As a first time couple trying something like this, I can say there was absolutely no pressure from any other couple or single to participate, no unsolicited touching and permission was sought if anyone wanted to consider joining, our no's were respected without question. The only thing that ruined this for us is the 2 single men that would follow certain couples down into the dungeon and stare intensely watching even after being asked to move along. At one point my husband and I decided to take a bed and pull the Privacy curtains to indicate we wanted some space from watching eyes and one of these men opened the curtains and stuck his head in and my husband had to firmly tell him to leave. We did highlight this to the main staff member at the door, I understand voyeurism is part of the reason to attend this place but I do think that when someone expresses discomfort specifically that should be respected and it wasn't. Generally all the couples there were friendly, talkative, humorous, open minded, free and respectful, it was just these 2 gentlemen. Although they didn't physically cross a line, their persistent forced presence despite asking ruined the atmosphere for us. We would have returned last night however after discussing the sheer cost of attending vs the risk of further discomfort again, we decided it put us off returning. I'm giving 4 stars as this place was secure, clean, friendly, fun and well run. I know the being watched is a personal issue however I think upon initially raising a concern to staff, to then have the physical privacy barrier removed/breached ruined my husbands ability to relax as he felt protective of my comfort and it killed our vibe of feeling free and sexual. I would generally recommend this place to be honest, the only reason we didn't return is through personal preference due to our discomfort. The 5th star I couldn't give as I feel the staff could maybe have suggested to these individuals to give us some space but nothing 'bad' happened at all. It just wasn't worth the large expense to us to be uncomfortable for a second night.

I was many times in this club with my husband, from 2023 until now,December 2025, sometimes is good, sometimes not good atmosphere. What we saw, when we go outside for a cigarette that they don’t whant to let’s inside many nice guys, but all the time they let same guy(tall, curly, somewhat blond with a beard) which can be very uncomfortable, and I've seen that other couples don't really like his presence either.I think he is good with owner. Before we saw more guys with nice body, good looking guys, now this guy all the time,little bit boring. Vine are not good, you will have headache next day, if you drink two or three glasses. If I compare this bar(club) with others clubs in Amsterdam is different, because in other clubs you can find more action with another couples and girls or guys. I like sameplace, because here I can came and drink without someone disturbing you, playground is down(basement)so if you don’t find any couple, girl or guy who is nice looking, you can sitting on the bar and chilling. Music is good.
