Cafe Mankind, in Weteringstraat ad Amsterdam, è un gay bar che riesce in un'impresa notevole: di giorno è un caffè tranquillo, mentre dopo il tramonto si trasforma in un vero e proprio locale da festa. Durante le ore diurne, l'atmosfera è incentrata sul caffè e sulle chiacchiere. I baristi sono bravi a mettere le persone a proprio agio, rendendolo un posto facile per incontrare qualcuno di nuovo, anche se viaggi da solo. Ma quando arriva la sera, il locale si rilassa, la musica si alza e l'atmosfera diventa più quella di un vero bar. La scena gay di Amsterdam è piuttosto diffusa, con locali che vanno da pub tranquilli a grandi club. Mankind si posiziona a metà strada. Se ti stai appena orientando in città, o preferisci un'atmosfera più rilassata, le ore diurne sono perfette. Ma se sei pronto per una vera serata fuori, anche quello te lo offre. È proprio questo tipo di flessibilità che rende Mankind un'ottima scelta, qualunque sia il tuo umore.

My family and I were coming from the Rijksmuseum looking for food after all the exhibitions! We were greeted promptly and our food came at a reasonable pace. The sandwiches were so delicious and fresh, my mom loved the bread. The bacon from the BLTC was absolutely delicious, and the poffertjes are a must-try Dutch dessert. We sat by the canal and it was relaxing and quiet. I highly recommend coming for a quick refreshment after the museum visits!
