Perfect for a few days of rest.
Unfortunately, I am writing to share a deeply disappointing experience I had at Monte Vale Nature Resort on October 17, 2025, which significantly compromised our stay. To access the accommodation, it is necessary to travel approximately 8 kilometers along a dirt and stone road, a challenging and potentially damaging route for any vehicle. When we respectfully, calmly, and politely expressed our concern about the condition of our tires during check-in, we were met by employee Carlos Parreira, whose conduct was, to say the least, unacceptable. Instead of demonstrating professionalism or empathy, the employee responded with genuine laughter, repeatedly interrupting us and preventing us from completing our sentences. Even worse, he downplayed our concerns with disdainful comments about our vehicle, stating that the accommodation had already hosted cars from brands such as Tesla and Porsche, in a clear attempt to belittle our legitimate concern. Such an attitude, marked by a lack of courtesy and professionalism, proved incompatible with the standards of hospitality expected of an establishment of this nature - one never interrupts a guest when they speak, laughs at a guest, or makes derogatory remarks about the cars guests use to get to the accommodation. The following day, October 18, 2025, we were surprised to find that there was no representative of the accommodation available on site with whom we could speak to discuss the situation, nor was it possible to obtain a response through the telephone contacts provided. Despite having formally communicated this experience to the accommodation, hoping for a private and constructive resolution, I received no response, which leads me to publicly share this account. The aim is to alert future guests to the access conditions, the inappropriate conduct of some members of the team, and the apparent unwillingness to receive feedback directly, in the expectation that similar situations will be avoided. I encourage Monte Vale Nature Resort to review its practices, invest in the training of its employees, and ensure an effective presence to serve its guests, in order to provide a service that meets the expectations of its clients. Monte Vale Nature Resort is simply an incredible retreat in the heart of the Alentejo region. The grounds are impeccably maintained, with a unique natural setting and tranquility rarely found elsewhere. The villas are comfortable, beautifully decorated, and full of little details that make all the difference. The private river beach is a true luxury—perfect for relaxing, sunbathing, or taking a dip at the end of the day. The entire atmosphere invites you to pause: the silence, the landscapes, the sunsets, and the attentive service of the staff make the stay special.
Monte Vale is a unique, secluded location with dirt and stone access roads. As an advertisement says, "it has everything and more." (Worten) For 5 days we enjoyed the beach and its water sports, gym with various equipment, jacuzzi sauna, golf, table tennis, swimming pool, bicycle to the village of Salto. The sunset sitting on the swings by the lake with the sheep grazing is a wonderful memory. For those who prefer a lively sunset, there is an outdoor bar with music. The little houses are very comfortable and all well equipped. There is a charcoal barbecue in each house with everything to make great grilled food. There is a large room where we can play billiards, games and cards. A large TV connected to speakers was our musical companion during the games. I want to congratulate the entire Monte Vale team and in particular Mr. Carlos who did everything for our well-being. 5*. See you soon ☺️
Excellent for relaxing. Ideal for parking the car and not leaving. It has all the amenities for preparing meals.
