Sir Victor Hotel

Excellent staff at the front desk, club, and restaurant. The TV was very small.

The carpets were stained and dirty, the hallways were dark and not well lit, the rooms had 3 Lamps that barely lit the rooms, the "patio" had security bars across the opening because it backed up to a disgusting open yard with people looking into our hotel. The drains in The shower and sink had to be taken out because the water didn't flow well, the pillows were feather when. I requested a non feather room , the mirror was waist height and u couldn't look at it, the towels were hard, the rooftop pool was broken and we couldn't use it, the toilets and sink were in different rooms- this hotel was dosgusting and not up to Marriott standards. It's expensive and the worst hotel Ive stayed in!!! The lamp next to my husbands bedside was broken and needed repair, the pillows were awful and the decorative pillow was frayed and gross!!

Beware the staff steals from your room while they clean, $600 went missing plus a pair of yoga pants. Beware!!!!

Hotel Theft! Extremely disappointed with our stay at Sir Victor Hotel. This property by no means meets the standards we expect from a Marriott-affiliated hotel. During our stay, $600 in cash and clothing were stolen from our hotel room after housekeeping had been inside. We reported it immediately, yet the hotel would not call the police for us, did not review the security cameras with any apparent urgency, and simply told us they would conduct an investigation later. What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of empathy or concern from management. We spent our entire trip being cautious about theft and pickpocketing on the streets of Barcelona, only to have our belongings taken from what should have been the safest place our hotel room. Having cash and personal belongings stolen was incredibly violating, and the hotel’s response made us feel completely unsupported. We left feeling that our belongings were not secure and would strongly caution guests against leaving cash, valuables, clothing, or personal belongings in their rooms.

We stayed at the hotel late August and early September and the service and food was sensational. Manuel is an outstanding staff member, a funny, attentive guy who made the experience so incredible at Mr Porter. Javier and Alex were super friendly and knowledgeable too, just a pleasure to speak to. This hotel, particularly the restaurant, is a must visit. Paula and Emmet!

Amazing hotel super nice and clean , We were welcomed by Halfsa reception girl, she’s was amazing, so nice girl and very professional, she takes care of our luggage before we get in the room , we came around 12:30pm, rooftop lounge is great, drinks are so good , there’s the lobby bar and restaurant, exceptional service, overall amazing experience to stay in this hotel , I highly recommend

I normally stay at the Barcelona EDITION, but decided to switch it up a bit...and Im SUPER happy I did. The location is amazing! The staff are incredibly accommodating! The food at Mr. Porter, and even the Rooftop are top notch...I visit Barcelona every couple of weeks, and this is DEFINITELY my new home in Barcelona!

Both my partner and I have stayed at the Sir Victor several times when it was the Ommm; we returned this time because our previous memories were excellent, as was the service we always received, and the hotel's quality was very good. This time was very different. To begin with, they gave us a room on the first floor. We knew about the nightclub in the basement, but we had never had any problems with the noise. This time was different: the noise from the nightclub spills into the rooms, and the conversations and shouts of people hanging out in the hotel lobby can be heard from our room... until 3 a.m. And we weren't warned about this. Of course, the price remains the same, a prime price befitting a 5-star hotel, without the expected service and quality. We informed reception the following morning, but they did nothing to relocate us or compensate us. The atmosphere on the rooftop is quite questionable, to say the least. It's clear that most of the clientele aren't hotel guests, and we witnessed some rather odd behavior from very young, foreign women who were there for other reasons. That said, the staff at the rooftop bar are excellent; incredibly friendly and attentive. They were the only redeeming feature of our stay. The room and terrace weren't very clean; the amenities they used to have were gone, and there were no slippers. It's obvious they've cut costs overall... but the price remains the same, or even higher. We left thinking we won't be returning, unfortunately.

very disappointing experience at this hotel, which is a pity considering it has a great location. the rooms while spacious were dated, old and not well maintained. I wish I had read the reviews about having a split toilet and shower situation - definitely a deal breaker service was the most atrocious I’ve experienced of any of the hotels in the Marriott group. if I could give it 0 I would. none of the warmth or hospitality you’d expect - instead we got curt, rude and abrupt. stay only if you prioritise location - for everything else, you’re better off elsewhere.

don’t bother paying for this 5* hotel - you are better off at a hostel than this. service was 0 if i could give it a 0 stars I would. we were put in L1 over the weekend and it felt like we were sleeping in a club with the DJ and the bass going on and on. we checked in at night and if the service staff already knew it was going to be noisy - WHY THE HELL would they still put you at L1 only for them to move us to another room after. Everyone working there is a 2/10 service. The lady that checked us in shouldn’t be working in service if you don’t do service. To the manager IC, you need to reeducate your service staff to actually know what hospitality is. Especially to the lady on duty on the 28th of Aug at 10pm. Otherwise - the rooms are also pretty run down, tap leaking, fridge is more a cooler lol. Though - the rooms were clean (basic for a 5* hotel ain’t it?) Overall - only stay if it’s free. Otherwise, take your money elsewhere or donate to a charity.
