Beautiful place. Cozy, green, amazing pool and jacuzzi. Very close to youbo center and at the same time secluded and quiet. Lots of parking outside and the staff are helpful and professional. Absolutely recommended.

If you are looking for a LGBT stay where clothing is optional, staff are super friendly, rooms are spotless and clean then look no further. Poolside food and drinks (plus mini bar in room) are great value. Can't recommend this place enough

This was my second stay at the Birdcage, and it was wonderful again. The "standard" room was perfectly adequate for me, very nicely furnished with a large (well-stocked, reasonably priced) refrigerator. The small terrace is perfect for a sundowner 🍸. The highlight of the morning is the generous and delicious breakfast buffet; egg dishes are freshly prepared upon request. Ralf, Roland, and Mike are always incredibly attentive and make sure you have everything you need. If you don't feel like going to the beach, the pool (nudist area) is a great place to relax, and they also offer lunch snacks until 3:30 pm. My only criticism is that the sun lounger cushions seemed a bit thin this time; they become slightly uncomfortable after about two hours. Perhaps you could consider replacing them. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

We enjoyed our stay at Birdcage very much. The room was cozy and very clean and the pool area and the garden are just wonderful. Every single member of the staff is really kind and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a buffet and free à la carte choices on top. The prices at the restaurant and for the minibar are very reasonable. The Yumbo is just a 2 min walk away, but the resort is very quiet during day and night. The only point we didn’t like is that for the very first time in a gay resort during a one week long stay no others guests around our age have stayed there, but it may have been just our bad luck. It still was a great stay.

What a wonderful stay! This small resort is truly a gem. Every morning began with a fantastic sparkling wine breakfast—lovingly prepared, high-quality, and simply a delight. The rooms were not only tastefully furnished but also spotlessly clean. We felt comfortable from the very first moment. The incredibly comfortable beds deserve special mention—I've rarely slept so well on vacation. The service was exceptionally warm and welcoming. Such friendliness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality are rare. You can immediately tell that everyone here works with passion. What was particularly lovely was the feeling that every return—whether during the day or in the evening—felt like coming home. It's precisely this warm, personal atmosphere that makes this place so special. The tropical garden is a little oasis—beautifully maintained, tranquil, and perfect for relaxation. And then there's the large, pleasantly heated pool: ideal for cooling off and unwinding. This resort offers the perfect blend of comfort, peace, and warmth. Anyone looking for a special place to unwind will definitely find happiness here. Highly recommended — we'll be back soon :-)

From the moment you arrive you feel like home. The staff is professional and friendly. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk from Yumbo (bars and nightlife). The layout of the property is well thought out. In the center you have the restaurant and pool area. The rooms, with one exception, are located privately. We stayed at Dove Cage. When waking up you open the doors and it feels like a private garden outside. A nice detail is that the rooms are cleaned and maintained when you go for breakfast. Within a one minute walk you may catch the busses who may take you to the beach or other places on the island. Breakfast, served until noon, is great with lots of options. When time for lunch, order something from the lunch menu (served at the restaurant or by the pool) or ask for recommendations for restaurants. If you are new to Playa del Inglés recommendations are a must since the options are many but the quality of restaurants vary a lot. All in all, we had a wonderful relaxing vacation and are now planning our next stay at the Birdcage.
