Hotel Marinada

Dangerous area, especially at night. The hotel caters exclusively to French and English tourists, and it's full of children. It's not a place to rest. You can hear everything in the rooms. The buffet is very basic but okay. (The instant coffee machine is unforgivable.) Salou is no longer safe at night; there are fights and many people who aren't tourists and are there for their own gain. As a Spaniard, I feel unsafe in my own country. NEVER AGAIN IN THIS CITY.

From the moment I arrived, the apartment's location, as well as the service and attention, were all top-notch. The facilities are quite good. I'm staying in an apartment, and despite being across the street from the hotel, I enjoy all its services equally. The receptionist's welcome (she was absolutely delightful) and her attentiveness and friendliness were superb. The bar and/or restaurant service was also excellent. Finally, the cleaning service was outstanding (something particularly important to me). It's incredibly surprising that with the volume of work they have daily, in the middle of summer, they make you feel right at home. Thank you!

The hotel service is absent, the problem with the room was solved after 3 trips to the reception, half of the sun loungers by the pool are occupied by towels, and no one uses them for half the day, the reception cannot solve this problem.

We got put into the apartments across the road which was no other to us as it was close by and rooms were big and spacious with a large balcony. 1st night the AC wasn’t working so we asked about it the next day, the woman at the desk wasnt very nice about it when we asked and the phoned someone said they would be over in 5/10 minutes. We went over to shower and wait for him. Never appeared and then surprisingly it started working again when one of us got out the shower??? Also the woman said it might be a common problem so the Definetly know about it. We upgraded to all inclusive on day 1 which was great until the end. All cocktails are from a machine and are slushy which isn’t the best and on the 3rd day the machine broke so no cocktails, ran out of a few spirits too which isn’t good when you have already pre paid for them. The food is typical buffet food with some themed nights. Location is great only a 10 minute walk to the beach and lots of shops on the way down. Food locations near by too. More entertainment options would be a good idea, lots of sunbeds around the pool, big pool as well and bar is close by.

I am very disappointed with this hotel and I would not recommend it, especially for families with children. The biggest issue is the all inclusive service on the last day. If you have an evening flight, they remove your wristbands at 11:00 and after that you are left without food or drinks unless you pay extra. So even if you book a 7 day all inclusive holiday, in reality you only get 6 days. This is extremely frustrating when travelling with children. There is also no free place to leave your luggage during the day. Paid lockers are available, but again, it feels like everything is designed to make extra money from guests rather than support them. The food itself is tasty, but the choice is very limited. If the main dishes are not something you like, there is not much else to eat apart from fast food. There are not enough vegetables at lunch and dinner, and the selection of fruit is poor. If you try to eat healthy, this is definitely not the right hotel for you. The “children’s food” area is just a small table that children can reach, but it mainly has chips, pizza, burgers and hot dogs. That is not proper food for children every day. The advert says that crisps are included, but they were never available at the bar. Cocktails were also unavailable because the machine was apparently broken. Another ridiculous rule is that you are not allowed to refill water bottles. In hot weather, this makes no sense at all. Staff told us to buy drinks from the local shop, or use the machines where a small bottle of water costs €3. Again, this feels like the hotel is focused more on making money than looking after guests. You are given one cup and you have to carry it around all the time. If you forget your cup and want a drink, you simply cannot get one. Communication is also very poor. Staff at the bar do not speak English. English is not my first language either, but in a hotel with international guests, basic English for customer service should be expected. Overall, the hotel is not family friendly, not supportive, and not what I expected from an all inclusive holiday. The food tastes good, but the service, rules and lack of basic guest care ruin the experience.

As a person with celiac disease, I would like to highlight the excellent service I received at the buffet. To ensure the kitchen staff were aware of my condition, I had to request an allergen information form at reception in advance and fill it out. Once submitted, the information was passed on to the kitchen team. Each time I went to the buffet, I informed a waitress that I had celiac disease, and she contacted the person responsible for serving me. They provided me with a list of available options, I indicated what I wanted to eat, and then they brought it to me prepared separately, with great care. I especially want to thank Nidia, who served me during my two-day stay. She was lovely, very attentive, and careful at all times, taking care to follow the necessary measures to avoid any cross-contamination. Before handling my dishes, she disinfected her hands and handled everything with great professionalism. Thanks to this attention, I was able to enjoy the buffet with complete peace of mind. Without a doubt, a very positive experience for someone with celiac disease.

The hotel is fine for short stays but I would not base a whole holiday here. To be fair, it was very cheap for room, half board and PA tickets. The rooms are basic but functional. Apparently it was refurbished recently but the rooms are already showing signs of wear. The pool is okay. It gets deep very quickly which makes swimming a chore as impossible to stand in most of the pool. The food is where I was really disappointed. There is a decent variety for both dinner and breakfast but the food quality unfortunately is very poor. A lot of food is bland or tasteless and a lot of it is actually disgusting. Even the coffee was bad. Again, it's fine for a day or two but I wouldn't want to stay here for a couple weeks all inclusive.

Typical coastal hotel. Simple rooms, with the bare essentials. Clean, comfortable beds, plenty of light, and a bit noisy. Each room has a terrace and a mini-fridge. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to the amusement park and often has shows or events for guests in the evenings. The buffet is very basic and somewhat limited; some dishes get too cold, and nothing particularly impressive—just adequate. Soft drinks and other beverages are expensive, but the service is very friendly. It's far from the town center. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk uphill, as if there were a small hill between the hotel and the beach. There aren't any regular shops nearby, only tourist shops. There are entertainment areas and British-style bars all around. Parking is risky; besides costing €19 per day, we were initially told to check the entrance if we had a large car. It's a sharp bend before the gate, and I didn't dare try to park my car there. We were told that many cars have had to be towed. If the car is long, it's impossible; you can't make the turn, and with the slope on the inside of the curve, it couldn't be worse. A 5-minute walk away, there's a specific blue line parking area with a daily rate of 6 euros. The rest of the blue line parking is expensive, but the blue line parking worked out very well for us.

Crazy BAD experience, no information no signage no direction. If you want to have a clean, smooth and chill holiday, AVOID THIS HOTEL. 1. Checked in in the morning, waited for 30mins in the reception, got the room key, told that I will receive a sms which shows the room number at 3pm but nothing received even until now, my last night staying here, which caused us waiting so long in the lobby at the first day; 2. No signage showing the shuttle bus stop to PortAventura World, it is few minutes walk from the hotel, known after we found someone to ask, caused us couldn’t catch the bus even we waited 20mins earlier in the lobby; 3. No signage and no staff know where is the shuttle bus stop in PortAventura World, caused us ran through all the car parks of the park for about 45mins but no luck, then needed to walk 30mins back to the hotel. My phone was also out of battery so we didn’t know the direction, luckily some strangers leaded us to Salou; 4. The room looked clean on day1, but we found the cleaner didn’t change the bed sheet although he/she renewed the towels for us, the toilet and shower enclosure also didn’t cleaned, the water was overflowing after only three nights as the shower enclosure was blocked by the hairs. I am now really worrying about the airport shuttle bus tomorrow morning so I am planning to wait 45mins before the scheduled time. Btw it is my husband’s birthday trip, I feel regretting to choose this hotel, luckily he enjoyed the Ferrari Land a lot.

Stayed here between 2nd June, 2026 Until 9th June, 2026. With 2 Adults and a 2 year old and another room with 2 adults. Not sure what a lot of these reviews are about. Since I’ve been here the hotel has been amazingly clean, constantly seeing cleaners and other staff around the whole hotel cleaning and picking up rubbish and scrubbing the pool area every night. The room is just that it’s a room it’s place to rest your head and go back out, the bathroom is amazing with a rain shower head and the beds are comfy (Will say thoe the room absolutely need more plugs are one isn’t enough for a small family). Reelection staff are super friendly and can not do enough for you, upon check in one of our rooms was ready and was checked in and upstairs in 20 minutes (Tip: Pre check in via the online check in 5 days before on PortAventura website) and at 14:30 received a message that our other room was ready for us. The food is great not had an empty stomach all week the themed nights are amazing and us north west English the Chinese night is like all the best expensive bits off the takeaway menu that you don’t always get at once. The restaurant service is great and yeah some times there has been a small queue but if you follow the hotels traffic light system you won’t have an issue. My 2 year old also loved meeting woody and Elmo that came around the hotel on some nights and the entertainment is very very much aimed at children just like the rest of the hotel
