Lovely atmosphere and great food. Chilean cuisine like we'd never tasted before. Creative, flavorful, and generous dishes. An excellent experience.

Olichen turned out to be the best meal of the trip to Chile. The menu is genuinely different, built around Chilean ingredients you don't see anywhere else and it's clear a lot of thought has gone into the meals, ingredients and presentation. I started with the pisco sour, which was excellent. For main I had the red curry with rabbit and Chilean pine nuts, served with Mapuche bread - fantastic flavour and large portions. Then the roasted garlic ice cream with pear in a Carménère reduction for dessert - it absolutely works! The owner and staff were warm and welcoming. I'd highly recommend!

I want to begin by thanking Gonzalo, the Chef and Owner of Olichen, for his excellent hospitality and exquisite food. The service was prompt, the dishes beautifully presented, and of course, the food was of the highest quality, sourced locally, making the combination of flavors an unforgettable gastronomic experience. I highly recommend Olichen to anyone visiting Cerro Alegre. The place is beautiful, the views are breathtaking, and the ambiance is incredible. I'm not giving it a full five stars only because I couldn't access the terrace, as it was raining the day I went. The food is on another level; I highly recommend the rabbit with pine nuts. It's a novel and truly exquisite dish. The service is also very friendly. And a special thanks to Gonzalo, who was incredibly kind throughout our visit.

We coordinated beforehand, inquiring about vegan options. Although the restaurant didn't have any listed on their menu, after some prior arrangement, Chef Gonzalo Lara prepared a top-notch experience for us. I say "experience" because it wasn't just a vegan dinner; the entire concept of the place is an experience I highly recommend. The ambiance is lovely, with relaxing music. We sat on the terrace overlooking the hills of Valparaíso. He prepared perfectly seasoned cochayuyo (seaweed) burgers, a bean stew, and a lentil stew accompanied by spiced chuchoca (cornmeal), all made with top-quality ingredients, flavors from all over Chile, and prepared by hand. You can tell he loves what he does. All of this was complemented by the option of pairing with a very good wine from the 5th Interior region. The service was excellent, the prices very reasonable, and his willingness to give us a special moment by cooking a vegan dinner especially for us was incredibly appreciated. We will definitely be back to this place! 💕 I highly recommend it! ☺️

The signature food was delicious, exotic but each element was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented; the spirit was a bit strong.

A beautiful spot in Cerro Alegre, the food was exquisite, like a highly elaborate version of traditional Chilean dishes. One of the best in Valparaíso.
