It's a neighbourhood bar. A clean, cosy space with personable, LGBT-friendly staff, DJs after 10pm most nights--open 365-days a year, according to owners.
Welcome To Wayla Bar & Lounge Out In Toronto, Ontario Canada! I was looking for something different to go to and I was in the mood to Sing Karaoke and found this place through some referrals online. This Cute, Trendy Bar is fairly new and has Karaoke on Tuesday Nights at 10:00 PM and that is what I went to do and got to sing several songs and have fun back on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. I want to personally Thank Kent for opening up this Trendy Type Of Bar and Wish Him The Best Of Luck On The Future Expansion Of It as well! Sincerely yours, Howard Paul Shore Visitor and Karaoke Singer Executive, Volunteer Writer For Google And Tripadvisor Websites /HPS
Put your party panties on and hit Wayla on a Saturday and dance the night away with all of those songs you miss from yesteryear! Attentive bartenders, INCREDIBLE DJ and great people primarily over the age of 35. I have been to private function here and it is a terrific set-up for events. There is a front reception area, bar area, dance floor and back patio. FUN FUN FUN!!!
I had been to a house party and was looking to just have one drink before heading home. Arrived at the door and the place was dead. The guy at the door let us know that it was a $5 cover which is not bad however in our case when we are just looking for one drink it did not make sense. When we decided that in our case it was not worth it for one drink; the door man made a comment about how it was "too expensive" for us. I don't need a door man insinuating that I'm poor. If the customer service at the door was that bad I'm happy to not have made it in. If I was spending the night there, the cover makes sense with the DJ, no need to be unessasarily rude.
DJ ( i think he's the owner too) told my daughters boyfriend of color to leave for no reason. We were all dancing 8 of us and my daughter was dancing with her boyfriend and the owner literally grabbed his beer out of his hand and told him he was being too touchy without even asking her if she was okay. And he wasn't even being touchy other than holding her hand!!! She told him he was her boyfriend and he insisted he leave. I felt like I was in Mississippi in 1950.
