Visitors praise the venue for its open bar offering and good music, with some enjoying the decorations and dancing. However, multiple guests report experiencing terrible customer service and discriminatory entry policies, with some being denied entry despite attempts to comply with rules or being told reservations are required last minute.

Greatest nightclub in sv with 20 bucks you can enjoy open bar all night

And for my Spanish-speaking friends. Dear Rooftop owners and management, and for anyone thinking of visiting this place: ⚠️Please take note‼️ I wanted to share my experience because I truly believe your establishment has potential, but unfortunately, the terrible customer service from your staff completely ruined what should have been a fun night out and, incidentally, your own profits 💵💰💶. I planned a night out with my cousins and contacted Rooftop through Instagram, since they never answered my calls or WhatsApp messages. Communication was already difficult, with very slow response times, but I finally managed to reserve a table for six people. I was clearly informed that the minimum spend per table was $200. The first red flag 🚩 was that they told me that, even with a reservation, entry wasn't guaranteed. 🤔That makes very little sense. The purpose of making a reservation is to guarantee entry and avoid uncertainty. When we arrived for our reservation, there were exactly six of us. The rude and unprofessional employee at the entrance asked for my name and reservation confirmation, which I gladly provided. He then insisted that I had brought additional people beyond those on my reservation. This was confusing, as there were exactly six of us. When I asked who these "extra people" were, he couldn't give a clear explanation; instead, he acted as if he were doing us a favor by letting us in, saying, "I'll make an exception this time." His attitude was rude, accusatory, condescending, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Once inside, the situation worsened. We were seated, and a waitress approached us, constantly rushing us to order, even after we explained that we needed a few minutes to decide. When it came time to order, we were suddenly told that the minimum spend for the table was $250, instead of the $200 that had been confirmed to me in writing. I showed them a screenshot of the conversation where their staff had clearly stated the $200 minimum, but the waitress kept insisting on the higher amount. At that point, it wasn't about the extra $50 anymore. We had come prepared to spend money and enjoy the evening. What ruined the experience was the combination of rude treatment, poor communication, and what seemed like an attempt to change the agreed-upon price after we had already arrived. As a result, we decided to leave. Ironically, no one else ended up occupying that table. By trying to charge an extra $50, their staff lost much more than that: they lost the income from our entire group, the potential for repeat customers, and positive word-of-mouth recommendations from three different countries and three different US states. The only thing their staff definitely earned was this review. Tourism in El Salvador continues to grow, and visitors, both foreign and domestic, seek places where they can enjoy themselves and feel welcome. Unfortunately, our experience was quite the opposite. After reading previous reviews, I wanted to give Rooftop the benefit of the doubt, but sadly, my experience coincided with many of the complaints already reported. The place itself is beautiful, but the customer service is the WORST I have ever experienced. People go to establishments to spend money and have a good time, not to be treated with disrespect, discrimination, or to feel like they are begging for service. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously because the problem isn't the venue itself, but the staff who represent it. If you are reading this, please don't waste your time or money at this place. Look for other places with better music, better prices, and a welcoming atmosphere for EVERYONE. With employees who actually know how to treat customers. This does not represent true Salvadoran hospitality or customer service.
