Playa del Amor

Tucked at the far eastern end of Playa Zipolite, behind a rocky headland reached by a short scramble over stone steps, Playa del Amor ('Beach of Love') is the town's gay and nudist cove. Sheltered and clothing-optional, it is calm and social by day and becomes the main LGBTQ+ gathering point at sunset, when the crowd is predominantly men. It is the most established gay spot on the Zipolite coast and one of the most relaxed gay nude beaches in Mexico. Access is on foot from the east end of the main beach, past the last palapa bars (Salmastro is the landmark). Bring water and cash; there are only a couple of small beach palapas here.
