Pier 5 Hotel Baltimore

This was most likely a great hotel once upon a time.... Now, it is showing signs of decadence. Perfect location though.

I can only say that the Front Desk Agent named Dawn should be immediately fired for her obnoxious and nasty behavior and attitude because of her severe demeanor I cancelled my reservation immediately upon arriving at hotel , and if offered a free room I would turn it down so I would never have any further dealings with such a nasty person as Dawn was . I will strongly recommend that until this property take action against Dawn do not stay at this property.

I had a wonderful stay at Pier 5 Hotel Baltimore. The hotel has an amazing location right by the water with beautiful views of the harbor and easy access to many attractions in Baltimore. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was elegant and relaxing. The staff was professional, friendly, and always willing to help, which made the experience even better. One of the best parts of staying at Pier 5 Hotel was having Ruth’s Chris Steak House located inside the hotel. The restaurant was absolutely outstanding, with incredible food, a beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional customer service. It made the stay even more convenient and enjoyable. I highly recommend Pier 5 Hotel to anyone visiting Baltimore. Between the excellent location, great hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and amazing dining experience, it was truly a memorable stay.

So dingy, it’s impossible to tell if the place is clean. All the furniture is extremely well loved to be put in the kindest of words, the walls are scuffed with obvious cracks, balcony feels like you’ll fall through if you step on the wrong spot, bedside outlets missing, plus more. Only saving grace is location but save your money.

This hotel is in the perfect location to go sightseeing in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. It's a shame that that is the only good thing I have to say about it. The rooms are a bit outdated, but I felt like it gave cozy, homey vibes, so I let that one slide. The bathroom?? There's rust on each crevice, so don't expect to see anything clean and shiny. When it was time for me to check out, I decided to take a shower and wash off, only to be met with ice-cold water. I let it run for a few minutes, and I even tried the sink, and it was still ice-cold. I contacted the front desk, and he let me know that he would have a technician check it out, and that was all. When we went down to checkout, my husband asked if there would be any compensation seeing as we were inconvenienced and the problem still wasn't fixed. He told us that the manager wasn't in and he would be the only one to get us that refund, and we said okay and went on our way, and that is what led to my review because I have yet to speak with a manager or anyone of superiority in that building. The front desk representatives keep sending us on a wild goose chase trying to get to management, which is very frustrating, so I say all this to say don't book here; save your money and go stay somewhere nicer, with more respectful staff.

We chose this hotel for the spectacular view and because it had a balcony. The only downside was that we couldn't use it because the hotel is incredibly poorly maintained. The floor sinks slightly when you step on it, as if it were about to collapse. I recorded a video because we panicked after a horrific incident in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 on April 8, 2025, when a famous nightclub called "JetSet" collapsed due to lack of maintenance and the owner's negligence. More than 300 people lost their lives, and we at the Pier 5 Hotel were very worried. We went to complain about the danger on the balcony, but they ignored us. The staff was very arrogant and rude, and everything felt very unsafe. Besides that, the bathtub was damaged, the toilet was broken, the balcony door was difficult to open, and the safe didn't work. In short, we were very scared and couldn't leave because all the hotels were full due to the Orioles vs. Giants game and the Romeo and Prince Royce concert in Baltimore. I hope you take this comment into account. To find a solution and fix the problem, which is truly the good intention. 🥹🙏
