The general manager at paloma resort is rude I personally do not recommend
Great staff, helpful and charming. Easy location, close to downtown Palm Springs and PSP. Clean, wonderful cabana room.
Great find. We had a couple of days in the Palm Springs area. Found the Paloma on the internet. Wow. What a cool hotel. This is a mature property (as many are in Palm Springs) that has been renovated and updated with a modern @vibe@. Located in a residential area, the property is quiet and convenient. There are standard hotel rooms and also small bungalows they call their 1-bedroom units. Opt for a 1-bedroom. You get a bit more space and a nice sitting and patio area. The rooms were spacious, clean & fresh and well appointed with a refrigerator, counter and coffee machine. No microwave. By everything else you need. The Paloma has a very nice heated pool area with a spa. There is a lunch/dinner area served around the pool and on some evenings they have live dinner music for the diners with candles for ambiance. Very nice. They also have bikes available for daytime riding. Let’s put things in perspective for this review. The Paloma cost us about $130 a night (all in). You could find less expensive hotels (motel 6 and others), but the properties were questionable. Then, there are the resorts (Marriotts/Westins) at $400+ a night. And the exclusive spas at $600 or more. The Paloma is at the lower end of the cost scale for the area. And for us - was just perfect for the price point. Not too cheap to worry about a crap experience. Not so expensive that it breaks the bank. We were in Palm Springs to do other things. The hotel was a place to sleep. The Paloma (in our opinion) served that need perfectly and left us feeling very good about our choice at the end of the stay. We are not fussy travelers. But we want clean rooms with good amenities. The Paloma delivered on that perfectly. Well worth a visit. We will return to the Paloma next time we are in the area. It’s a “keeper”.
Day 1 experience: location is great and tucked away in a residential neighborhood. Trader Joe's, Target, Boomer's just 1 or 2 traffic lights away. We arrived on a Thursday, plenty of parking available. Very cute decor as you can see from the video. Clean and spacious. Furniture is decently comfortable. Not luxury but not cheap either. Mattress is on the firmer side but not lumpy and doesn't dip in the center 👍 big+ 😄 The area is quite peaceful, not a noisy area so we were able to sleep through the night. Staff are all very pleasant and welcoming. Rolando at the front desk helped us but everyone wished my husband a happy birthday. The restaurant Sol Y Sombra offers a complimentary bday dessert if you let them know. Heated pool is open 24 hours and there is live music Thursday-Saturday evenings. Bar and restaurant close at 9pm.
