Moxy Chattanooga Downtown

Nice hotel Great bar and social areas Simple, efficient rooms

We always stay at Moxy if there is one where we visit. They are consistently clean and the vibes are great. My only complaint is I wish they offered rooms with king beds.

Phenomenal stay

Loved: Great central location. Easy, friendly checkin. Great service oriented staff. Young, hip vibe. Excellent live music and fun bar. Loved the Swedish ironing room (want one)! Smart use of space. Didn’t love but not a biggie: Rooms super efficient but missed on pillows and Bedding sub-par, No full length mirror (update: it’s on the barn door to bathroom - when closed!)), barn door to bathroom doesn’t stay closed, Poor bathroom lighting. Overall great value and would recommend if you're not looking for luxury.

Cons: The rooms are tiny and do not have a fridge or coffeemaker. There is a $22+tax/night cost to park in the hotel parking lot. The towels are thin and coarse. No breakfast provided. The lobby is also a bar (I guess this could be a pro for some). Pros: Convenient location downtown. The shower is better than most hotels I've stayed at. The elevator is only accessible with keycard.

Stayed at the Moxy Hotel in Chattanooga and it was such a refreshing change from the usual hotel experience. Check-in comes with a free cocktail, which honestly sets the tone immediately—more hotels should take notes. The whole place has a modern, fun vibe without feeling overdone. Everything was very clean (even the elevators… which sounds oddly specific, but it matters). Jared at the bar/front desk was fantastic—great restaurant recommendations and he makes a legit Old Fashioned (not the overly sweet, fruit-filled version). Location is a huge plus too—tons of restaurants within a 10-minute walk, so you can park the car and forget about it. Would absolutely stay at a Moxy again. Fun, clean, great staff, and a strong start with that welcome drink.

Very disappointed to come to a boutique hotel to find it fills with 50 kids sports and a giant pizza party in the lobby. This isn’t the Hampton Inn. Do better.
