Rocky Mountain Regional Rodeo

The Rocky Mountain Regional Rodeo is the Colorado Gay Rodeo Association's annual rodeo, held each summer about 30 minutes from downtown Denver. KUNC and NPR call it America's longest-running gay rodeo. It runs to International Gay Rodeo Association rules, with the usual roping and riding events plus camp events such as goat dressing and steer decorating, and dances in the evenings.

The 2025 edition, the 42nd, was 11 to 13 July. The 2026 edition was 24 to 26 July. Charlie's on East Colfax is the association's home bar and the place to ask about tickets and transport. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked in October 2026.
