Addendum to include review of recent winter stay: Run, don't walk, to a winter getaway at The Waterford Inne! 10 out of 5 stars. We are fortunate enough to stay at the Waterford Inne at least once every summer or fall, and have long dreamt of escaping there for a winter weekend away. Enter Kember: making dreams come true. It was everything we thought it could be and more: delicious breakfasts, a very special in-house dinner (is there anything better than wearing slippers to a fancy dinner "out?!"), attentive care (Kember always seemed to show up at the exact right second with water, tea, cocktail or wine in hand), a mobile rented sauna (they're hoping to build one of their own soon), cross country skiing, cozy reading by the fire, warm chocolate chip cookies, quality togetherness with our friends, and on and on - all in the always impeccably curated and designed spaces of the inn. Cannot wait to put this trip on repeat!! __________________________________ Previous review from fall 2023: We stayed at the dreamy Waterford Inne a few weeks ago and we're still basking in the glow of that warm, cozy, and delicious escape from reality. Kember, Greta and Elli (and doggy host with the most, Milo!) were incredible hosts who generously shared the very special property that they've beautifully renovated and decorated. Barn dinners were done for the season, but the B&B food we were treated to was destination worthy in itself - from the warm sourdough chocolate chip cookies, to the perfectly curated cheeseboard, to the absolutely mind blowing breakfasts made with eggs from their chickens and veggies from their garden, we can't wait to go back for more!!! On top of it all, we so enjoyed the company of all our hosts and the other guests. It was a really lovely space of connection and conversation that feels rare in today's world. (Also super convenient to countless hikes and lots of good food. Highly recommend dinner at Oxbow in Oxford!)

Wonderful inn with excellent service and hospitality by the hosts. Room was inviting and complete (except for TV). Accommodations were very comfortable with many spaces available for tranquility. Wifi worked well. Inn’s grounds were great for wondering through trails, sitting by a campfire or sitting and just enjoying the scenery. The most satisfying element of the inn was the culinary experience. The food was creative and sourced locally. The chef never disappointed. The taste and food quality was exceptional. Overall a great experience staying at the Waterford Inne.

We had the nicest time here! The place is incredibly charming and cozy. The attention to detail from the decor to the breakfast was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

The Inne is a beautiful venue for a relaxing stay. Kember and her folks were warm, gracious and helpful, and very accommodating. Breakfasts were delicious and suggestions for hikes and restaurants with local flavor were spot on. We’re planning a return with our friends.

This place is charming! We had the most lovely stay! The attention to detail is felt in every detail. Check in here and travel back into time. Highly recommend.

A delightful find off the beaten path. New England charm at its core, this inn is welcoming, warm, comfortable and cozy. We were only able to stay for one night, but really enjoyed our time here. The Poet room was wonderful as was our delicious breakfast. Thank you, Kember!

Looking for the quintessential Maine experience? Waterford Inne will give you everything you could hope for and more. The perfect mix of quaint natural beauty, a nod to history, with the perfect modern updates. From the rooms to the barn to the kind staff and the wonderful grounds you can walk I have ZERO complaints and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Bed is like sleeping on a cloud, breakfast was wonderful - just a lovely Inne and the perfect fall Maine experience.

The best ever host and a next door barn which is turned into a fantastic restaurant

Kember and her team at the Waterford Inne provided us with a magical bed and breakfast experience. We spent last weekend at the Inne while attending a wedding at a nearby venue. Kember and her staff were very attentive to every detail, from making our reservations and choosing the right rooms for our needs and budgets, to the bedding, linens and pillows which were most comfortable and clean. Each room is unique and well appointed. Their farm to table breakfasts which are included in the price of the room were high end quality and delicious.One day we had veggie frittatas, and another day apple crepes, alongside fresh apple cider each morning. Dinners in the barn, Tallelulah’s, was also a gourmet experience, consisting of quality home grown ingredients and hand crafted pizzas, salads, drinks and ice cream. All of the food is prepared on site with ingredients from their gardens, chickens and other locally sourced ingredients. The Inne is quaint and exudes rustic charm, hence you may hear some squeaking in the floorboards of the old homestead. We highly recommend the Inne when you want a unique experience in a relaxing atmosphere out in the country rather than a run of the mill chain experience. You cannot be disappointed and feel like writing a bad review unless you haven’t done your own homework and researched the place to make sure this is the experience you’re looking for.

It was clean, quaint, and amazing. The Cabin we (my wife and I) stayed in was new and clean. Wonderfully small and intimate, but not cramped. Beautiful location with lots of water/lakes in surrounding area, including a small pond on the property. A fire pit, lounge chairs and hammocks were plentiful outdoors. The setting encourages you to pick up a book and just take in the beauty. When we were there the weather was perfect, so we didn’t need AC or heat, but they were available. Breakfast was simply superb. They served crepes with a homemade raspberry compote, maple syrup, hand made whipped cream with sweet firm powder sprinkled all over. So so tasty. In fact the whole place is all about good taste. Look forward to our next stay.
