Indianapolis LGBT Film Festival
Su questo evento
The Indianapolis LGBT Film Festival (ILGBTFF) isn't just about movies. It's a yearly community event, now over 25 years old, that puts LGBTQ+ features, documentaries, and shorts from Indiana and everywhere else on screen. It’s part of the city's cultural calendar, bringing different perspectives to the forefront through film.
The 26th festival runs November 13-22, 2026. That's a bit of a shift from its usual second weekend in November slot. You'll find most of the action at the Kan-Kan Cinema, also home to the Indianapolis Film Project. If you can't make it in person, they've added on-demand streaming, so films are available longer.
This whole thing runs on volunteers, backed by Indy Pride, Inc. That's the same non-profit that puts on the big Indy Pride Festival and other LGBTQ+ events all year. They also team up with groups like the Heartland Film Festival and the Indy Bag Ladies, stretching the festival's reach. Any money the festival makes goes to Indiana Youth Group (IYG), which creates safe spaces and wellness programs for LGBTQ+ youth.
