The Templer Inn - הבית הטמפלרי

I would argue this is the BEST Inn in all of Jerusalem. Some of the kindest people you are going to meet are the owners of the Inn. They answered all our questions, gave great recommendations, allowed us to get to know them and most of all they made us feel like family. We will definitely be staying here the next time we are in the beautiful city of Jerusalem. It was an incredible stay!

An experience of living in an apartment in the heart of Jerusalem, in the heart of the amazing Templar colony. Clean, well-equipped and cute apartment. Charming couple who own the place, delicious breakfast. Recommended!

We chose and booked from Booking.com. Eyal and Raviya do everything to give a feeling of home. The amazing building, the comfortable and inviting rooms, the location. All 10.

Excellent experience. The room is extremely comfortable and even though I had arrived from the US hours before and was extremely jet lagged I slept a full night's sleep. The A/C works well, the rain shower is just lovely, and the service is gracious and helpful. The location is convenient to the Old City and to Talpiot, both of which I visited today after my delicious breakfast. Highly recommended.

My review is after spending three nights at The Templer Inn, in August 2025, with my husband. We never met the owners before, and have no direct or indirect benefit from dropping the following recommendation: The inside of the room: was meticulously clean. The room is divided into three parts: the sitting area, including a kitchenet and a small dining table with two chairs, a sofa and and an armchair, with a little rug and tea table. the bedroom included (well, obviously...) a twin bed with side tables, a desk, three drawers and a two door closet, half for hangers and half shelves, including a safe. The third part is the shower and bathroom, which was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was served according to our preference - at the garden or in the room. We ate twice at the garden and once in the room - both were nice an convenient. Breakfast: delicious, generous and kept us going for hours. It included cold cider, cold water, coffee of our choice, an egg, several slices of two kinds of bread, some cheese, home made Israeli salad and home made other salads, served on a nice table cloth and matching napkins. The Templer Inn is a historic place, and is a part of one of Jerusalem's oldest parts outside the old city. The current owners have a lot of respect for the history of the place and its surroundings. The room and house is filled with artifacts, photos and replicas of authentic documents from the family album of the owner, whose grandmother lived in this historic house for almost 50 years. The outdoor - the garden is very lovely and clean. We sat outside in the evening and it was wonderful. Location: well - the best, really. We found a parking spot, even though sometimes we had to look for it for some time. Going to the old city of Jerusalem was easier and cheaper by bus - we crossed the street and the historic first station, and there was the bus stop to and from the old city - a ride of about 20 min. each direction in a minibus. Highly recommended to use the public transportation from the hotel to basically anywhere in J'lem. The place is very close to the historic first train station - an area which is undergoing massive development. Unless your dream is to sit at the garden all day - it did not bother us (but we did prefer to have breakfast in the room rather than outside). The street of Emek Refa'im was also under construction, but it did not affect our vacation at all. However, I do recommend Nadi coffee shop - they are wonderful and we visited them each day. Bear in mind that coming from the street to the premises you go down two small stone steps, and getting into the room you climb about 8 stone stairs.

Great place for a business meeting

A small, charming and perfect hotel in the heart of the German colony. Very spacious rooms and simply wonderful service ❣️ ... Of course, a thoughtful and tasteful breakfast too.

To be near the Orient and feel like in the Orient. Clean, spacious and pleasant rooms. Excellent service from the owners, Alon and Ravia. Breakfast in the courtyard was wonderful. Everything was fresh and delicious. We will definitely return on our next vacation in Jerusalem. Two small comments and answers: 1. At certain times during the day there was noise from the work on the light rail. This is of course not the responsibility of the owners. It bothered us less and it is also a temporary nuisance. 2. There is not exactly a wardrobe in the room, but rather a kind of drawers in which you can store your clothes. For a short stay in Jerusalem it is definitely enough.

Great service, excellent location, nostalgia, pleasant hosts, inviting room and courtyard. Recommended restaurant and cafe: Kafit and Nadi within walking distance.
