A friend living in the US made the reservation for us, and since we shared the cost, I think we got a pretty good deal. The rooms were clean and comparable to Japanese hotels. Disposable slippers were provided, but I don't think there were toothbrushes, toothpaste, cotton pads, or cotton swabs. A bottle of water was provided as a complimentary service, but since I had skipped room cleaning, I asked the front desk for more water before leaving in the morning. There was a capsule coffee machine in the room, but I couldn't use it to make hot water for the instant noodles or drip coffee I brought with me. So I asked the staff, and they told me there was a hot water dispenser and even a microwave in a tiny self-service convenience store on the first floor. You enter the shop with your key card. (Incidentally, our room was on the fourth floor, but the water dispenser there was broken.) I took the hotel's "coffee cup" from the room, first filled it with hot water, microwaved it, poured the piping hot water into the instant noodles, closed the lid, and returned to my room. Convenience stores sometimes have plastic forks and spoons, but not always, so when eating out, I think it's a good idea to take plenty of paper napkins, forks, and spoons and make sure to take them home with you. Little Tokyo is next door, so having access to Japanese supermarkets like Nijiya and Marukai was a great help. My friend living in the US was delighted to be able to buy freshly baked bread at Yamazaki bakery and bought some to take home as souvenirs. There seems to be a Japanese restaurant on the second floor, but it's out of my reach due to the weak yen, so I used the bread from Okayama Kobo on the first floor twice.

Located in Little Tokyo, just a 3-minute walk from the metro station, this hotel boasts an excellent location for attending Dodgers games and sightseeing. What's especially appreciated by Japanese guests are the shower toilet and slippers. While the facilities feel a little dated, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the shower has plenty of hot water. Laundry facilities, an iron, and an ironing board are available in the room, making it suitable for longer stays. Although no Japanese staff were visible, everyone was very friendly, kind, and attentive. For a quick breakfast, Okayama Bakery on the first floor is recommended; they also sell oyaki (Japanese dumplings). You even get a free clear bag, essential for entering Dodger Stadium. It's a truly thoughtful and highly recommended hotel.
