Montauk Blue Hotel

This was my first time staying out in Montauk and I picked this place mainly because it's location but it also has a really nice pool and hot tub. I was able to get a great price on a discount website and I booked it for a day. I was going to be late so I contacted the hotel to tell them and they were very accommodating and left a key in the mailbox for me. The room we had was on the ocean, very clean, and the pillows, and bed were really comfortable! After a great night's sleep the next day we decided we wanted to stay for another day and we did. That day we explored around Montauk and went in the pool and hot tub. The staff here was very friendly helpful and made our stay very comfortable. The location is amazing as well, right in the middle of town. I'm definitely going to stay here again!

I stayed at Montauk Blue Hotel in July 2025 and had one of the most distressing experiences I’ve ever had as a guest. On the first night, I discovered that the king bed mattress in my room was wet inside. I reported it immediately and asked staff to inspect it. While the mattress was replaced, the way the situation was later handled by management was deeply unfair. In follow-up letters, management implied that I or my family must have caused the problem, even though that is not true. Their written statements also included factual inaccuracies (for example, misidentifying who was in the bed, ignoring that the room had sufficient light, and claiming they personally inspected the room before my arrival though this was never mentioned at the time). When I tried to defend myself at checkout, I was crying and upset — not abusive — yet the hotel escalated matters by calling the police to escort me out, which was humiliating for me and my family. I requested only an apology to clear my name, not money. Instead, management refused further discussion, leaving me no choice but to file a formal complaint. I cannot recommend this hotel due to how poorly they treated me as a paying guest. Travelers deserve honesty, respect, and fairness — none of which I received here.

My husband and I made a spontaneous decision to stay at Montauk.Blue Hotel, and it turned out to be one of the best choices we’ve made. Janet greeted us with such kindness and went above and beyond to make our stay special. She even sent us a photo of a gorgeous ocean view room before we arrived—thoughtful touches like that really stood out. The room was immaculate, the view was stunning, and everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to find service that feels this personal. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming about our next visit.

Staff in the office were very nice. Apparently, they updated the rooms two years ago. However, the mattress was horribly soft, the pillows were also very thin and soft and Were not comfortable. The shower door in the bathroom would not close. The air conditioning was very poor, despite lowering the temperature to 61°. It was 60° out that night. Would not return

Unfortunately, we were not able to see a room because they screwed up our booking on our wedding anniversary so we drove three hours in traffic and we were turned away because they never correctly booked our trip. A woman who had an Irish accent took all of my information and booked our trip and even sent me a confirmation But still all they were able to do was give us a credit and say they were sorry.done 👎🏻
