Spirit Animal

I booked through evenbrite, sorry the hotel and nightclub are taking a hit for this review... We arrived for the event and valeted the car and they asked if we were here for the event( mother's day soul brunch with sweet baby jai is why we were there) great we head in but then asked the front desk where to go and was blindly directed to exit the hotel and turn the corner to find the club. Dimly lit club and tables and chairs are packed in so tight it was hard for the servers and guest to move around in. Extremely slow service to get drinks or even place the food order, I went to the bar at least 3 times to ask for assistance. When the band began I noticed this is not the performance that was notated on the ticket when I made the purchase I asked the staff about this and they told me it has always been booked for this band then I showed him my screen shot, that is when he said oh sweet baby jai backed out and now this band is booked. This band is kinda blusy and some form of old skool but not soul. When I was at the venue i had started the dispute process by looking for my receipt in my email and checking for an update email from the venue/organizer regarding the change I did not receive one and I requested this info from the organizer and have not received an email with proof that I was given proper and prior notice of the change with the opportunity to remedy, Nothing yet. even when booking there is no verbiage that says entertainment is subject to change. please do the right thing and refund me the ticket price. The orange juice that my mom ordered was sour. she left it on the table could not drink it, The food order was wrong then the server tried to take both plates back to the kitchen instead of fixing my moms order, then my moms order finally arrives and the french toast is drenched and soggy uneatable. I was truly embarrassed and will never return here or recommend any event put on by this organizer. When I requested the refund they tried to tell me that i had a good time and they wont refund me. pretty sure I was trying to hide how bad I felt the performance was since I was right up front and would never disrespect my elders. (band was mostly senior citizens) I said I would dispute with my bank and they said they will dispute it back. Terrible way to interact with customers. You stated I posted a review without giving you time to rectify is not true and your staff was not apologetic in the moment when I raised the concerned they act as if I brought up something that was not true I told him I had a screen shot while I was pulling up the screen shot the staffer walked away beside the bar and started addressing an issue with a group of four women I walked over to him and showed him the screen shot that said with sweet baby jai not gand band then he asked when did i take the screen shot i told him 2/22 then he stated oh she cancelled and they are now booked, You already declined the refund in the email exchange between you and I and I told you at that point I would dispute with my bank and post the review, plus eventbrite sent me the email for my review and I will definitely provide an accurate depiction of what took place. No I do not want a discount to attend another poorly run event by your organization. I know I looked around and lots of food was left on the tables seems like many of your guest did not like the menu choices or how it was prepared as well. I posted a short video of the performance it gets zero stars from me. I also requested the notification that was allegedly sent out about the performer change and still have not received it.

Saw the Funk Monks great band! cool, hip club atmosphere

Saturday 2/28/26 we went to the Spirit Animal nightclub event at Hotel Zoso Palm Springs.The DJ was top notch and so was the club. Drinks were good too. We will definitely be back. Take your friends, good crowd.
