Concierge was not able to provide a wine opener. Coke leftover from last guests.

Room was extremely disappointing. It was clear that there was plumbing issues and a leak that was painted over. Our room smelled an extreme mildew smell and was extremely damaged. We were moved to another room as the hotel stated that they reversed the money for the stay but in the end never did and charged me over $2000. We were moved to a second room as a temporary option until money was supposed to be given back, it also had a strong mildew smell as well and housekeeping was not sanitary. They did not wear gloves wiped their faces and sneezed over bedding while prepping the room. We stayed out as much as possible and went across to our friends hotel at the beautiful Omni.

Went to the Hard Rock for the first time this past weekend. The hospitality from everyone was as great. Dannie was great with the drinks and service. Very efficient with how busy it was. Will definitely be back!

This place made me miss my college dorm. Cold shower water. Save your money and go to the comfort inn.

Ive been travel8ng for 30 years . Ive been to 13 states and a hundred cities as the South West Cannabis Connoisseur. This was the most fun I've ever had at a hotel. There is a cocktail lounge, a classic diner, a fancy restaurant and of course the hard rock shop! Not only did they offer a beutifull and comfortable room but there was a social on Friday night and a swim party Saturday!!! Its hard to beat the location and that's stating it lightly. A short walk down 5 Ave to Balboa park or a short walk down harbor to seaside village. As well, the trolly stops right in front of the hotel and that can take you all over the city... that is if you even want to leave the gaslamp district! Its going to be hard to beat this visit because of the Hard Rock Hotel

We weren't actually staying at the hotel, we had reservations at Nobu, but ended up arriving a little early and spent some time wandering through the lobby checking out the memorabilia displays and soaking in the atmosphere. I'll admit, I came in with preconceived notions of what a HRH would be. My memories of older locations were dark carpets, overwhelming memorabilia, and a theme that sometimes felt more gimmicky than genuine. This location completely changed that perception. The design is sleek, polished, and contemporary, while still embracing the music culture that makes the brand unique. Rather than feeling cluttered or over themed, the memorabilia is thoughtfully curated and integrated into the space. What started as a casual question about the intriguing room behind the front desk, filled wall-to-wall with guitars, turned into one of the highlights of our visit. Taylor Murphy took the time to explain how guests can actually check out guitars to enjoy in their rooms, shared some of the history behind the program, and talked about the hotel's partnership with Taylor Guitars and the collection of Fender instruments available to guests. And of course, as someone from Baja, I couldn't help but point out that the best guitars have to be made in Baja California (Tecate) where many Taylor guitars begin their journey. Taylor was kind enough to humor me, though I remain convinced I AM right. What stood out most wasn't just the information itself, but the genuine enthusiasm and pride he had in sharing it. In an industry where managers are often busy behind the scenes, it was refreshing to meet someone who would take a few minutes to connect with a curious non-guest and talk about what makes the property special. As a thoughtful gesture, he also arranged for a complimentary dessert and side dish at Nobu to celebrate our recent high school graduate, who, against all odds, won every family bet placed on her future and is now officially on her way to becoming a functional adult 🤞. Welcome to the world of the great ones, kiddo. The gesture was completely unexpected and made an already enjoyable dinner even more memorable. The entire interaction lasted only a few minutes, but it left a lasting impression. Great hospitality isn't always about grand gestures. Sometimes it's simply taking the time to share the story behind a place and making people feel welcome, whether they're staying for a week or just wandering through before dinner. Great hotel, right in the center

Trying to be a five star hotel and coming up short. Lots of hidden fees, charging for early check-ins, for late checkout requests. Nickeling and diming you to death. These days it's 10s and 20ing you to death.

Valet is crucial the rooms are modern and clean.

Very nice, modern rooms, but the minibar and snacks in the room are way too overpriced. The hotel was very nice and clean and in a very convenient location.
