SpringHill Suites by Marriott Topeka Southwest

Hotel physically left a bit to be desired. Room was a bit worn down, torn shades, a shower that was very temperamental, and some obvious water stains around the windows of past leaks. Staff was phenomenal. Courteous, helpful, and immediately willing to help. Patricia at breakfast was especially fantastic and friendly. Would stay here again, but may also try somewhere else.

AVOID this location!! We booked two rooms on 5/20 for stay 5/25-5/26 and were immediately charged for both rooms. We stay at Marriotts often and were confused by this as we are typically not charged until day of check-in or past the cancellation date/time (which for this reservation was 5/23 at 6:00 p.m.). When the team we were planning to watch in the state tourney did not advance, we canceled the rooms on 5/22. I have now called the hotel twice to report these charges that have went through and cleared. We are finally being told today they have now initiated a refund.....5 days after they were cancelled and rooms that should have not been charged. They shared their system has been doing that and is not something that typically happens. So beware you will be charged at booking and it takes forever to refund if you cancel.

In my opinion, this is probably the second best hotel in topeka. Highly recommend.

We were double charged on a recent stay. We reached out to the property to resolve the issue. There has been a total lack of management follow-through and resolution on this issue. Very disappointing.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and the staff were all very nice. There is a bar, but no dinner service. The breakfast was average. There arr 3 restaurants within a few hundred feet. There is also parking if you're pulling a trailer. I would stay here again.

Newer hotel, looks good from outside and lobby. Service bad, towels not changed, no coffee cartridges in the room. Morning breakfast and coffee are pretty bad. Beds are not comfortable and although rooms are large , not clean or comfy

This hotel is newer, and rooms have a simple modern feel. Although clean overall, there are noticeable mildew stains in the bathroom, and wear in the rooms that without attention will soon bring this hotels ratings down quickly. Staff was friendly, but distracted. They neglected to tell us that there was no hot water in the entire building, which we had to find out the hard way after trying to use the shower, and a trip back to the front desk. Pool area was clean although smell of pool chemicals was exceptionally strong. Breakfast had a small variety of options including some "grab and go" and gluten free, however we had to ask for several items because there was no one specifically watching the breakfast area. Lobby did offer several kinds of seating and there was a bar available in the evenings although we did not utilize it.

Having recently stayed at the Springhill Suites in Lenexa, I figured we would go ahead and book the one in Topeka the next weekend. The exterior was beautiful, and the lobby looked clean and modern. That's where the compliments end. I walked into the room and found crumbs on the floor in numerous areas, a few tiles in the bathroom were loose, the bottom of the shower was moldy along the grout, the toilet paper holder was almost coming out of the wall. The beds were ok on comfort, but the pillows were not. Would I stay here again? Not at this location.

Clean, quiet, and affordable

Our room was very spacious, it came with a large closet, a large bathroom and it was very clean! My only complaint is that the pool area was terribly cold! It was the same temperature as outside. We we had tk come in early because we were shivering! But other than that, i had a very nice stay!
